We will lose alot more services than you will gain in tax dollars. All we will are going to get are promises. Grant money from the state? Who is more broke than NYS???

Vote YES... Stop the duplication of services. This will allow the county to provide services in the Malone area. I would rather pay a nominal increase in my county tax and remove the village tax and still have services. In the winter all we get is the sanding of the intersections. Snow removal is slow, so what if it becomes a little more delayed. Police - In North Carolina the Sheriff's Dept. takes care of the law enforcement of the community. In the past we use to get garbage removal thats gone. Water and sewer let the county take care of it.

Vote No.
why in gods name would u want the town take care of things hahaha take care of things. who do u think removes all your leaves and branches from the road. You think the town will do this for you again HAHAHAHA. they say you will lose the village tax. But then all of a suddon the town tax will i can say Yes to the village police there usless they dont care or give to flying shits about the lesser people. reson well they have been called regarding drugs theaves and drunck drivers. took them more then 30 minutes to even respond. GET RID OF THE PROBLEM (THE POLICE)
NOT THE VILLAGE WORKERS. they do alot more then what many may think.

Break down your tax savings by the month... week...Less than $10.00 per week.Unless you own a bunch of rental property. We need to consolidate some services but getting rid of the village is not the answer. and we WILL lose services. Our sheriffs dept. is so broke that they don't patrol. Our snow removal would be a little more important if you needed to get to the store or hospital or if the rescue was trying to get down your street. Who are you going to call if someone is breaking into your house? Raybrook? I hope the trooper that they dispatch isn't in Moira or Ft.Covington. Now you have a trooper doing 120 mph to your house. who's gonna pay for that trooper? Who is more broke than NYS? And the grant money promised by the state? I don't beleave anyone else has seen it either.... and won't.

In reference to Huck.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Department has no road patrol. So I don't see how the County will help as far as Policing the community is concerned.

To 'parent'.

Its hard to take you seriously, as, judging from your post, its unlikely you graduated from high school. You're anti Police for one of two reasons. 1.) Because you've been arrested. Or 2.)You're a leach on society and are good for nothing. You are probably too apathetic to vote as well. But at least it apears you'd be voting no. If the Village does dissolve and there is no PD, I'd like the opportunity to watch you seeth in anger waiting for an SP patrol to respond to your house.

I'm not ready to chop our police department into oblivion! I see what they do everyday. I listen to the calls they respond to every night. What else will be cut off if the village dissolves? Hoping that we don't have to endure any of the aftershocks this would create for us.
