Some people have nothing to do.

Or anything to do it with.

It was an employee and a customer who is a young girl. The employee attacked the girl and she was fired and arrested. It wasn't over merchandise, the cashier didn't want to walk around with the cordless scanner to scan the items at the bottom of the cart. The cashier got mouthy and the girl and her father were leaving without the stuff and the cashier jumped her from behind.

I was also there and she asked the worker to scan the stuff with a cordless scanner. She said she couldn't and that the girl didn't need to be so f'ing lazy. That is what started the whole thing. The worker is definitely crazy and the customer was hurt but more scared than anything.

I work at walmart and people try getting your story right before running your mouth .she did not get fired so where did u get your information.and if u use self check outs u can not have the cashiers scan things with a hand scanner that is why they are called self check outs there is no hand scannr to use .[check your self out ]that is what it means and if u can't or don't want to don't use them don't.i'm not sayng the cashier was in the right because she wasn't.but people blame everything on cashiers ,not enough registers open ,long lines whatever the csae may be .each cashier is assigned to register they have 2 hands and do the best they can so people stop asking can u open another register .open your eyes do they look like they can NO and they have no control on how many registers are open.and besides how many hours have u walked around the store and that didn't bother u so be patient and wait you turn at the check outs . Some days are busier than others .

The young girl who was assaulted did not realize that they could not use hand scanners at self checkout. She asked if they could and that is what started the whole altercation. She did get fired and she was taken out of the store in handcuffs and management was very assuring that she would not be working there any longer. Cashiers do get a lot of flack for things that are not their fault. That is an undeniable fact. I don't like it when I stand in line and people are complaining about the cashier. They go just as fast as they can go and I am sure that nobody would like to see more lines open than the cashiers who are already working. Most of the cashiers there are very nice people, some are a little odd but that is ok. This one cashier was just not a mentally stable individual.

Well regardless of what happened, the cashier is supposed to show respect to each and every customer that comes through their line, even if the customers are sometimes rude!!! Just because she was "at a self checkout with no hand scanners" does not excuse her behavior. She works with the public and is required to practice courtesy, that is part of being a cashier!! And I don't even know the full extent of what exactly happened but that is just something you have to deal with when working in retail!!

I wonder which cashier it was. I've never had a problem with any of them. Some aren't as nice as others, but if I had to deal with the stupidity they do I'd probably be pretty crabby too.

Well maybe that "poor soul" should of went to college after high school and gotten a real job that pays better! And for you to feel sorry for people that work there, it's their own choice, nobody is holding a gun to their head forcing them to work! And really, who cares if people are on their cell phones while they're shopping, the only time they shouldn't be is when they're being rang up at the checkout.

Yes I agree the cashier should show respect but the customers should also show respect to the cashiers. Some customers think they should not have to wait thier turn in line and that is also part of retail .u shop in any retail place u wait your turn like everyone else .if people don't want to wait they need to shop at off busy times or move to a different
register and not stand there complaining the whole time .everything that happened that night should not have .the cashier was in the wrong she should have responded with i'm sorry we don't have hand scanners on self check outs .but remember all cashiers are not her .

she was a new cashier and yes I agree if I had to put up with the stupidity of some people i'd be crabby as well .i've seen customers stand at the end of a csshiers line that the light is off and close sign is up and the stupid customers says are u open .Gee hello what does the sign say .stop asking stupid questions .People can say on here well the cashier has to put up with the customers crap because they choose to be cashiers[no they don't ]they are people as well . it may not be a great paying job but at least these people are working for a living and not having taxpayers supporting them like so many others do .some people who stand in line complaining need to try being in that cashiers spot for one day and see how it is on the other side then maybe they would understand .I am a cashier as well in a local store so i know where the cashiers stand and put up with daily .
