So your saying that a Principle from another school was not qualified to work for Malone. Or any of the other 12 people that were interviewed??
Qualified? Perhaps, but not the best choice. Do a proper search and pick the best person to run a difficult school. What objection do you have to doing that?

Do you all realize how irrelevant you and all your inane (look it up if you have a dictionary) comments are?..... that is a question mark for those of you who are unable to de-cypher the symbol.

They need to hire the right person. John Scheidegger in his day was one of the best. The union didn't like him because he expected them to work. Don Merrick in his day would have also been a good choice. He did a great job at FA. He was at the middle school for 6 months because they let a principal go. Same thing, the union did not like him because he had expectationsl that they be in the halls and cafeteria with the students. And guess what, one of the main reasons the last principal left - the union didn't like him and blocked him every chance they got.
You don't want just anyone in this spot. You want the "right person" for a school that the union believes it is running.
I am pro-union in most cases but this has gotten to be ridiculous.

I think it is great that they decided to wait to hire the "right" person instead of just picking from those who they obviously felt were no qualified.

It is my understanding that Fellion quit his job in hopes to get Stewarts position. Fellion knew that Stewart would apply for his job since it was so much closer to Stewarts residence. The ony problem with his plan is that he quit before he was hired by MCSD. He obviously ASSUMED he would be hired. Stewart waited to resign until after he was hired by PHSD. Now Fellion does no have a job.

Personally I feel Fellion would be a horrible Middle School Principle. He may have the right certifications but that does not make him a good principle. He can not even control his own children I could not imagine how he would handle a whole school filled wth 11-14 year old.

If he would of told the truth in the beginning of why he left instead of other teachers talking about it maybe he would of had a chance. Don't walk back into town and be pissed off why they didn't give you the job. John S. may be retired but the school is better off, and having the high school change to free up last years principle to help him until they can find the right person. It's sad we have several people with Administration degrees and non are qualified.

Well I have to say it did not look good when I heard Fellion had "resigned". Normally you do not leave an administrative position before retirement unless you are "Persuaded"to. It did not look good at all. Any way you look at it, it was not a smart decision. I applaud the board for taking their time with the hire!

Fellion should just be honest and come clean. He resigned because he was not going to have his name brought to the board for tenure. They would have tuned him down. That's a fact! He is a complete idiot out in public, front and center drinking his beer with all of his so called "chums." yeah a real leader.. Role model for all to see...some people never change!

Why would Malone Central hire outside of the area? Malone BOE to appoint new principle. He's got some experience, some background....do we need someone that has SOME and hire outside of Malone.?
