Why can't the Malone paper print storys on Malone?
Seams like most of the storys come from other papers.
So what good dose it do Malone to have a paper that dose not print news of Malone?

I agree with you and also why can't we access the Malone Paper on the internet. They want to charge for this service. I do like to keep up on hometown news.

The paper is a joke...it's written for a 5th grader to read...since I moved here everything is so secret or spun to not hurt anyones feelings, the paper only reports easy stories. You think they would go on the net with their paper? That would cost money and involve having a brain!

The paper is privately owned by the WATERTOWN Times, I'm sure they would consider selling it to you if you offered them millions of dollars.

The paper is good for a small town daily, if they ever fold, how much Malone News do you think you'll get daily from out of town papers?

LOL...I get most of my news from Plattsburgh and Watertown papers now anyway. The Telegram is a waste of 50 cents!

It would almost be better to change to a weekly format like many small town papers. Most people do seem to turn to the Watertown and Plattsburgh papers for their real/daily news, so just a small weekly Malone-centered one is all that's really needed.

It would be better if thay reported on whats really going on in Malone.
A small town paper is to report on everything,Its it job.
But the Malone paper just seems to look the other way.
We should beable to count on the Malone paper.
I know I will not get the Malone paper any more becouse of that LACK OF UNREPORTING. And favertisem.
I will order the Press or Plattsburgh paper, at least thay will report on whats going on.

Let the Malone paper go out of business then maybe we might get a paper in here to to the job.

What you REALLY mean is you think the paper should report the drivel, lies and gossip you're always going on about.

And get a clue, once a paper closes, no other will open up and replace it, we would be without a paper forever.

First you don't have a clue.
And what you are saying is lies and gossip, are you talking about drug testing story or te favertism that gose on in Malone.

Give me a break,No give Malone and a lot of Good people in Malone a break. Malone can never grow if this is allowed to keep going on. A lot of times papers bring out whats going on then other people come forword and add to the story and then all the facks come out.

Their so much fix behind close doors in Malone, and if someone dares to talk about it, it must be lies and gossip.

They completely missed the story of Shanty getting suspended. A Malone Town Board meeting and the Malone Telegram doesn't cover it?!

Pathetic.

How did you come up with that? Let us know how you arrived at that conclusion.
They did have a reporter at the meeting and it was reported the following day..

And the problem there is what??? You don't know that no one will start up another paper just because the "Daily Wipe" closes its doors. Even if they reported on this every week since it happened you wouldn't be able to believe it. The Telegram is a joke. Usually the telegrams front page news is someone raking or mowing the lawn.

You're right, I don't know that but if you actually read anything, ever, you might know something about the newspaper business and be ble to reasonably conclude that another paper would not open up here.
Look, this is a free country and you don't have to buy or read that paper if you don't want to, but on the other hand the newspaper is free to write stories about student atheletes drinking.(that is the reason you're so angry, it seems to have hit a nerve with you)

You are right about me being angry 100%. The reason that i'm angry is that the paper ran the story about the atheletes drinking and most of it was BS! I know, I was there when it went down. some people think it is ok for the paper to write what ever is reported to them. they did not check things out first. They were in too big of a hurry to get it in print.

Maney news papers have written history becouse of good reporting. That would be small papers as well as big papers too.

Are you saying that what the paper reported was false? They could and should be sued if what you are saying is right. I find it hard to believe that the paper would print something that they could be sued for based on their articles.

You may not like what they report; many people do not like what is written, me included but sometimes the truth hurts.

If anyone really believes what they write is not fact then hire a lawyer and take them on.
