LOL!!!! My link is to THEIR site. Their CURRENT site. Moron.<quoted text>You are stuck on dumb, your apa link is a 2003 statement.
Yes moron, I know. That's word for word the same as the link I provided. Jeebus, you get stupider by the minute.<quoted text>
Here are the exact words from the APA, notice the quotation marks.
This is what the APA says, since you are trying to deflect from it. They have revised their position.
"There is no consensus among scientists about the exact reasons that an individual develops a heterosexual, bisexual, gay or lesbian orientation. Although much research has examined the possible genetic, hormonal, developmental, social, and cultural influences on sexual orientation, no findings have emerged that permit scientists to conclude that sexual orientation is determined by any particular factor or factors. Many think that nature and nurture both play complex roles...."
It doesn't contrast at all. They simply replaced "genetic or inborn hormonal factors" with the word "nature".<quoted text>
That contrasts with the APA's statement in 1998: "There is considerable recent evidence to suggest that biology, including genetic or inborn hormonal factors, play a significant role in a person's sexuality."
But please, do continue promoting your "contrasting" statements!!!! Still makes my sides ache with laughter everytime!!!!! Your picture has now been added to the word "idiot" in the dictionary.
Actually its pretty much the same. Your lack of comprehension skills isn't my concern.<quoted text>
Actually, funny person, the APA has been friends to the gay community since 1973.
What they said then and what they said in 2003, has nothing to do with what they said recently.
We gays don't say that.<quoted text>
Like you gays say, prior to 1980, homosexuality was listed as a mental disorder by the APA.
Who's discounting their current statement? Oh, that's right, no one. Because their current statement says pretty much what everyone says. No one knows, but most suspect that nature (you know, genes and biology) plays a role.<quoted text>
You discount that, well now you get to discount their 2003 statement.
You see Kirk dear, "we gays" aren't concerned about what the APA states as it relates to what causes our homosexuality. We don't care. We know we are gay, we accept that we are gay, and we know that we will always be gay. We spend as much time contemplating what made us gay as left handed people spend wondering what made them left handed. Basically we spend about NIL considering it. We all share similar experiences with it, and nothing the APA will ever state will alter our experience or our orientation.
Your believe that you have some sort of weapon against us using statements from the APA merely shows, yet again, what an idiot you are!!!
No, actually we have our shared experiences. WE are all the APA have when it comes to research in this area. You have it backwards, yet again dipshit.<quoted text>
BY the way, I think it funny, because the APA is all that you have.
Hey, here's a suggestion, why don't you hold your breath while you do that waiting.<quoted text>
I am waiting for you all to claim that the APA is a fundie gay bashing group.
