To keep Malden as quiet and lovely as it is sirens are not allowed. If you need help, some of the newer younger officers who will be coming to help you will be afraid to turn their sirens on.Please be patient and ask the man breaking into your house or car to wait for the police. If you hera your neighbor slapping the hell out of his wife please be patient. Seems to me perception is more important that actual public safety. Shame on these people.

Sounds like there is more wrong in Malden than just trash bags and the Building Department. Four cops on the Malden PD were just discovered falsifying EMT training records to fatten their paychecks. Apparently, these 4 were doing the same exact thing as the 5 cops in Hamilton Mass, who were recently found to be falsifying EMT training records to inflate their paychecks. The 4 from Malden and the 5 from Hamiliton wanted the extra money for going through the training; but they couldn't be bothered actually attending the training. I guess that giving up a half a day once a year to do things the right way was asking too much of them.

The system has no real checks and balances, to make sure that cops are not simply lying and bilking the system. Instead, it relies on the integrity of the officers involved. And, the 4 cops from Malden who just got caught running this scam have clearly demonstrated how sound their integrity is.........They are thieves who wear badges!

Sorry Folks, my info above is wrong. The case involves the Danvers PD and the Hamilton PD and does not involve the Malden PD. My apologies to the Malden PD for this error! Again, the Malden PD has not been reported to be involved in the phoney EMT Training mess..........

Well I've seen some of the police cruisers and they are banged up indicating that the police have been in accidents with the cars. That could be the reason why the cars are not in use.

Dont the police have cars in case some break down? I would think that would be something a big police daprtment like Malden would have in place in case of emergencies. Or is giving money back more important?

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Gemini

It's a busy day and you've got quite enough to do without having to cope with people clamoring for your attention and likely to go into a huff if they don't get it. Is this person feeling neglected because you're busily occupied elsewhere or are there other reasons for their demanding mood? Simply giving them a big hug could make all the difference to their behavior.
