I find it impossible to believe that Mr. Conner and Transland committed any impropriety.
This article is obviously biased. The background sources are ignorant of standard mortgage banking procedures which has led them to a false and damaging conclusion.
TransLands forte has always been construction-permanent loans, along with FHA-VA and other conventional loans. They perfected it and set one of the highest standards in the industry for this type of load. HUD-FHA have adopted some of Transland's procedures for administering and servicing construction-permanent loans.
My perception is that a group of competitors wish to damage TransLand Financial Service spotless reputation for fair and honest dealing and take them over at a moment of weakness and national crisis in the mortgage lending industry.
The fact that TransLand itself notified the proper authorities when discrepancies and difficulties arose is a testament to their veracity and professional business ethics.
I would suggest that the reporter whose wrote this article do more investigation into these allegations and intensely scrutinize the motives of the sources of these misleading allegations.
