Way to go Deputy Dawg! The guy was wacked out enough you call an ambulance and give him a ride home, but then you just leave him standing outside the house in 40 degree weather? Geez.

I didn't read anything about an ambulance until after the murder. What are you reading?

What would you have preferred the deputy do? Get into a confrontation with a man who is upset, who is at his home and does not appear to be a threat to anyone, or suggest that his neighbor keep an eye on him...?

If the officer had tried to force the guy to either go into his house or go to a hospital, people would criticize for that, too.'just sayin....

Just Sayin...you didn't quite get the story right!

"Wassenaar initially said he had a house key and then he said he didn't. He "refused to enter his residence," the complaint said. A neighbor, identified as R.P., arrived and the deputy left Wassenaar with R.P."

The officer left the guy with a neighbor, who then took him to their house.

Tic Tac hit it right on the mark. Damned if you do, damned if you don't!!
