Dumbest idea ever.
Don't people realize they're hurting their own property value by posting on the Internet about crappy neighbors?

Unless you rent an apartment. Then, it would serve as a warning to potential tenants thinking about moving into the building, which then might encourage lazy landlords to be a bit more diligent before they allow uncivilized people to move into the building.

I think it's a great idea! There are some people that I just don't want to rile up, but would like to see take better care of their homes and *my* neighborhood. Having a mud rally on my neighbor's front lawn (because they don't want to move all their cars to get to the one they want to use that day so they drive over the lawn) does not do anything for property values. And then there's the guy across the street that's a registered sex offender. And the guy that loves to make his dog bark for hours on end. And the little guys across the street that my cat doesn't like..........he actually growls at them.....and he's an inside cat. Or the kids that have a trampoline and just whizz off of the tramp so they don't have to go inside. I don't want to see that and if I try to talk to the parent I get a blank look. It just goes on and on.........every house has a story. I think we're the house where the crazy lady was taken away one day. It's just fun. And I think telling someone else is therapeutic. So have at it.

Yes, it is. But you have to have the right spirit about reading it. After all, not everyone has remembered the things they learned in kindergarten, things like "play nice," or "if it's not yours, don't take it."

We have a family of idiots behind us who have 3 daughters and a pool. Needless to say, its impossible for anyone within a 4-house radius to enjoy their own back yards. Between the screaming from these girls and the late-night parties the parents have, they act as if nobody else is in the neighborhood. If they want to act like they live out in the country amongst 300 acres, then they should go buy some land somewhere and get out of everyone's hair.

That's the problem with America these days. Everybody is so concerned about their "Rights" to do things. I have the right to do whatever I want. Well, if you can't spell right or if you don't know who the vice president is or if you don't realize that others have rights too, then you should be immediately shipped off to Iraq and see how far your rights go there. Why aren't these people at all concerned that the Government has just taken away their constitutional rights? The ones that count. The answer is because they are stupid, uneducated, ignorant, irresponsible, trash and their only goal in life is to own an SUV and some electronic stuff.

I'm not mad about my "rights." I find most of my neighbors amusing and quirky, except the one that's doing 60 for blowing a little old man off the front porch a few years ago. I do have it in for the creeps next door who moved out, but that's only because they abandoned 3 small kittens when they left. My back side neighbors have a pool and it's music and loud all summer, okay, so it's their yard, I can turn up the radio. If it's really bugging me, I can always ask them to turn it down. Because I know my neighbors. And I think that's the sad part of today; many people live their lives never knowing who their neighbors are. So if you have a situation, instead of saying to Fred, "Hey, Fred, I am having a problem with your nightly pool parties, could you turn it down after midnight, please?" and Fred would probably agree. But if I don't know Fred, then I might be tempted just to call the cops and let them tell my neighbors to be quiet. And that's when the trouble usually starts.

People like to vent. Neighbors from he[[ are everywhere. It's nearly impossible to sell your home these days so that stuff about property value goes right out the window unless someone is getting transferred, or has the cash to move. Lucky them.

You don't have to say exactly where you live, just b!t*ching about the rotten neighbors is all that website is for. Do they give out awards?

I went to this website and it is nothing but advertisement. You should not post things about your neighbors anyways since you will be ruing the reputation of your own neighborhood. If you were smart you would just shut up and move and let the next occupants deal with it. Some people are just looking for anything to complain about!!!!! I hated my neighbors every where I have lived that is why I have moved 5 times. So much for city living.

People are rude, thoughtless and selfish. They only care about themselves. Got people in your neighborhood that actually have to get up and go to work? Then by all means, throw parties several nights a week where everybody gets drunk and makes noise until 3 am.

Got kids? Then certainly let them run all over everyone else's yard and teach them that they don't have to respect property they don't own.

Got a doorbell? Why wear it out when your friend's carhorns work just as well?

Got a garbage can? Why use it when the street is available?

Wnat to chat on your cellphone? Then do it on your front porch and talk really loud so everyone can hear every F word clearly.

The worst is condominium rehabs and new constructions that don't spend any money on sound proofing. I'm about to go crazy in my condo. I can hear EVERYTHING my upstairs neighbors do and these people aren't even loud. You pay a lot of money for place you'd think you wouldn't have to hear them flush the toliet or hear their cat walking across the floor.

I am completely with you on the doorbell thing! If you don't care enough to come to my front door to get my children, they are *not* coming out. Car horns do not equal doorbells. My teens live in dread that one of their friends will do this very thing.

But I like to think most people are good at heart although my attitude-o-meter may just be running hot today.

I am hard pressed to come up with an example of how this can improve neighbor relations.
