No I was not there which leaves all historical events in question. Not all facts about an event are ever brought into the historical tellings. Same with the bible.
So you aren't really curious........ skeptical, argumentative maybe but not curious. Curious is seeking answers not looking for debate.

great words brother. I like it when a fellow sinner saved by grace is able to use logic and the Word to answer for him. God bless ya bro.

Oh me , GLG . All I can validate is what's in the bible. I believe it to be the infalable word of God without a shadow of doubt . I do believe Jesus walked on water , turned water into wine and was born from a virgin. I believe it because the bible says it. The bible says nothing about purgatory so I don't have any contradictions that Match what your talking about . Check out the scripture . If you need help just ask me where.

Many people like yourself did not believe Jesus was who he said he was , or what Jesus was doing and did not follow his teachings when he was doing them in front of them .It's no surprise to me that you don't believe now . I'm not angry at anyone for not believing the way I do . I started my comments on here to give a message to those who are searching for hope, peace, a d a security of knowing where they are going when they leave this rotten world. If you don't want it that's your choice. God gave us all free will to choose . Go ahead and make yours if you haven't already.

Jesus is the answer

Hey Mandy, I thought I would help you with that education about Catholicism. This is a link to a site that Biblicaly backs up everything i said but I don't want you to take my word for it. Study it and read the Bible verses that are in these links.

You you also think as a man you are smarter than women. You are an idiot. You know nothing about our religion. Also you do know that Jesus started off as a Jew, right? No I don't know everything about the Bible & would never claim to. I treat people the way I want to be treated. I don't force my religious beliefs on anyone. I have friends who are Muslim, Buddhists, Methodist, & Pentocostal. We may not all believe the exact same thing, but we belive in a higher power. You know nothing about my church. I'm sure you haven't ever set foot in one. Our church is open to everyone & we don't tell everyone they are going to Hell like some other churches I have been too. We do not worship Mary, but respect the mother of Jesus. Can't understand that can you as you have no respect for any woman it seems. You are what keeps people away from church.

Evidently I know a lot more about it than you do.

Yeah, and He died a Jew......what has that got to do with anything?

Once again you show your ignorance of the Bible, Jesus said ''I am the only way''.....not believe in a higher power. Have you even read the Bible?

Truth has indeed been keeping people away from 'church' and Jesus ever since He walked on this earth. If you have a Bible ready John ch. 6 vs 60-ect... Jesus is teaching that He is the only way to the Father and calling the people out on their sins so some of His followers start leaving saying that His teaching were too hard and they couldn't listen to it........ Still the same today. People telling the truth about God and the Bible and it keeps people away from church alright. I guess it is easy to go to a church that tells you it's o.k. to live like the devil all week long and then come in and ask some man for forgiveness and it will be alright. Good luck with that.

There is no purgatory....unless you are Catholic and then it becomes one of the most important places around because that is where they stop off while the family and friends try and pray them on into Heaven..... I didn't agree with GLG (I went back and read it and I do indeed see where you get the notion) I commended him for using logic in debating his stance.

on that note I did go back and read your posts and commend you also for using logic. The most important defense of the gospel by geopolitics and knowing the 3 laws of logic as applied to the Bible. Knowing this you can validate your point..... as you see though with folks like Mandy that just because you put the truth out there and use infallible logic from scripture to back it up the truth is not always accepted. I guess that is where we get tangled up.... trying to 'make' people believe truth. I guess it is our service to God to just present the truth and let them decide. You seem logical and level headed; what do you think?

oh, and apologies for any offense.

I agree with you. That's why if you are going to continue to sin after repenting then why bother going to church. It becomes such a social gathering that people forget what Church is for. Its not for the kids club, or Sunday brunch. Preachers had better get the Church in order. Elders should be setting better examples. If you are in a Bar whore hopping on Friday night, drinking on Saturday night, then why are you in Church on Sunday? Get your house and life in order it's an embarrassment on your family. Then get into a good Church with a good message every Sunday Morning. REPENT and Sin no more.

Hey Paul thanks for your comments . I enjoy logical conversation about the gospel even if I don't agree. You and I like most Christians probably agree on the core beliefs of Christianity . There are so many things that cause us to argue and they really don't matter that much in the end. Purgatory is something that i just cant get to line up with the Bible. in my opinion what God sets up for one he does the same for another. scripture says the "Holy Spirit is no respector of persons". So I can't believe Catholic s have a chance that others don't. But we dont have to agree on this , it's ok to disagree . So no offense taken and i hope i have not offended you . Advise to all who post on here , don't get so wound out about someone who believes differently. As a conservative Christian I have some strong convictions but I'm not forcing them on anyone. We all have the right to choose how we believe and worship in this country. As for me here is my "what I believe statements " . You can't hardly argue this.

I believe Jesus is who he said he was
I believe he came here as flesh and blood
I believe he lived a sinless life and became the sacrifice for a sinner like me
I believe he died on that cross for my sin
I believe he arose after three days and went to be with the Father
I believe he is there now waiting for anyone who repents and asks for salvation
I believe he is coming back for the church and all those who truly confess him as savior .
I believe he will save anyone who calls on him .

Be blessed

conversing with Cowboy..........I did a thesis on the belief in purgatory when I was in seminary as an apologetics paper. The Bible doesn't teach purgatory in any form or fashion. The Catholics base it off of the book of Maccabees which is not part of the inspired Word of God. So I agree with ya 110% brother!!

The word Christian has been dropped in a few of the various posts on here and I want to pick your brain about something.

I, without a shadow of a doubt, believe everything you posted so we are in agreement for sure.... but I think that the title ''Christian'' has became tainted. The folks in the book of Acts and following for some years were indeed the picture of a Christian but now take a look at these statistics.

88% of Americans claim to be Christian on the 2012 Census. The way that that 88% is broken down goes like this; Catholics make up over half, Protestants are a large percent but it is that left over percent that taints the word. Because as a whole Americans lump Jehovah Witness, Mormon, and the other mainstream but then there is this...
http://www.jedichurch.org/

Yep, Jedi is a recognized ''Christian'' religion. Like I said before I believe all those things you wrote and I base my beliefs off of the way that those lived in the book of Acts but I find it hard to lump myself under the label of how Christian is defined by today's vernacular. It is bad enough that the Catholic church has led so many astray but now the protestant churches are caving to tolerance and political correctness and groups like these Jedi Knights........ It is Satan throwing it in the face of the true follower of Christ and those true followers are being shamed and told we are closed minded and judgmental. So wrong and so sad.

Brother Paul , I appreciate your comments in the post above and the statistical info . It is a sad but true thing how Christianity is being watered down. It used to be that it was the cults and man made religions that where so far off from truth . Now it's churches in most denominations that are taking the word of God and changing it to suit there own lives and the sinful ways they don't wanna give up . Ever notice how the word "sin" is not used as often in sermons anymore? Take ole Joel Olsteen for example on tv. He is one heck of a motivational speaker . If your havin a bad day You could listen to him for ten minutes and be feeling like you could succeed with anything in your life. But where does he preach the need for repentance of our sins , or how we are gonna be held accountable and stand before a Holy God to answer for the stuff we've done.or How we need to be out here beating the bushes trying to get just one more lost person to come to Christ? You don't here that cause its not popular and feel good stuff. And that my friend is where our churches are going .... Feeding feel good stuff on Sunday morning cause that what people will swallow. It's a sad but prophetic thing as our world around us falls further away from God . Well enough for now.

Everyone have a blessed day, find a church that speaks the truth , take your family and dig In.

I have been reading posts today and its the same stupid people making unintelligent comments all over the place. Go outside and play. Learn something useful ffs.
