Since most of you that visit this site regularly are obviously so busy consuming yourselves with small town, pointless drama, it is impossible for you to keep up with events that are taking place aross the country. So I thought you may want to save yourself some prison time by educating yourselves on how far you can go on this site. And for those of you being harassed, I would strongly encourage you to put a stop to it. Legally!
A new federal law states that when you annoy someone on the Internet, you must disclose your identity. Here's the relevant language:
"Whoever...utilizes any device or software that can be used to originate telecommunications or other types of communications that are transmitted, in whole or in part, by the Internet... without disclosing his identity and with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any person...who receives the communications...shall be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than two years, or both."

Are you serious? Do you really need me to explain the difference between calling someone an idiot or a moron and actually harrassing them? Have you read the other posts that people have been making on this site? The posts that accuse people of everything from being drug users, cheating on their spouses, molesting children....... etc.? Could you please reply to the post you are referring to where I talk about how it is against the law not to disclose who you are and where I say you shouldn't get on here harrassing people and others not posting their names.
