I had an appt at Dr. Gonzales office and when I got there I was greeted by an unfriendly receptionist. She didn't smile or say "hello, can I help you?" she just mumbled, "what do you want?" Once I explained that I would like to see Dr. Gonzales, I was told that she was not in the office and I needed to go to the ER. I didn't have no emergency, just needed some help with flu bug! What kind of office are they trying to run over there? Anyone have issues with her office, or others?

Yall wanna talk about rude! I haven't seen my child's doctor, Dr. Wynn, since before Christmas! It's always a nurse practitioner. Don't get me wrong, she's a nice lady but seems to me that Dr. Wynn is slacking on his job. I've addressed a problem I got with my kid about 4 times now & they keep avoiding getting my kid seen to see if it's just something minor or if there is an underlying problem we're not seeing. I got fed up and took my kid to the ER here in Magnolia & after waiting 2 & half hours, the doctor comes in & I explain my problem. He smiles & chuckles as he says, "I don't understand what it is you're wanting me to do or check out. I don't see the problem." I wanted to explode. So, when I do have my child seen by someone who is willing to do their job, I'll be calling the medical board on that ER doctor as well as Dr. Wynn. They should learn to do their jobs instead of half-assing it.

I've been trying to get on with Dr. Albin. Heard she was real good & I'd prefer a woman doctor handling my daughter. All I know is, Dr. Wynn isn't a good doctor in the least.

I can understand you wanting a female doctor for your daughter but if u cant get in to see her give Barnett a try. Hes my doctor and I take my young daughter to him also. He has three young girls of his own so he understands how lil girls are. He's real good with her. They also have two great nurse practitioners up there that u can usually see that day on short notice. Everybody in the office has always been friendly to me. Oh, and Prince Pharmacy is in the same building so pick your meds up on the way out. Jeff Prince is a good guy too. I guess I sound like a commercial but just trying to help. Good luck finding a doc u like and trust.

I think the receptionist at Dr Gonzales' office is the friendliest & most smartest in this town.

I hope this isn't her posting about herself. She may be very friendly but I'm not to sure about "most smartest" lol

It doesn't take an English professor to point out that you just sounded dumb, lady!
And shiftworker, I just might do that. I just don't like Dr. Wynn. He's slow about things, he doesn't really do his job well either. He told me there was nothing wrong with my daughter around Christmas & I ended back up in his office a week later to get some amoxicillin for her cause she was soo sick that I couldn't lay her down flat to sleep. I like the nurse practitioner in his office but I prefer to see an actual nurse or doctor over seeing a practitioner.

A nurse practicioner is higher than a nurse, education-wise. A nurse practicioner is about as close to an actual doctor as an actual doctor.

You may be thinking of an LPN which I believe is a Licensed Practical Nurse. A nurse practitioner is almost a doctor. They can prescribe meds. Big difference in the two.

Well this lady needs to go back to college & take notes cause a nurse at the health dept. was more helpful than her. The nurse took the time to realize that the nutritionists there told me to start my kid on cereal by mouth 2 months too early.
And Nancy, considering you say you are a nurse "practicer", doesn't give me the confidence that you are a very good one cause that makes twice you've sounded dumb. "Most smartest" nurse "practicer"!

Her husband is a nut but does good yard work.
