Why hasn't Search and Rescue been called? There are many teams and willing volunteers in this area, but State Police has to call them to activate them for a mission. There is no cost to the family or the lost person.
Good Luck!

Magdalena is a wonderful place full of friendly people. The malpais area has been a place where others have not been found. I think a father and daughter disappeared there and going way back decades ago tourists disappeared in that area. Was he in his truck or did someone take his truck from Albuquerque to where it was found with a flat. Did fingerprints show that he changed the flat. There are so many trucks taken by force and by theft that forensic evidence must be collected, studied and analyzed to try to piece together what happened. Mr. Romero likely came up I-25 to Albuquerque. Wouldn't the malpais route be a path to Mexico with the stolen Ranger via Phoenix. Was all the food Mr. Romero's. Has anyone called all the doctor's offices to see if Mr. Romero had an appointment. A letter could easily be sent to every doctor in Albuquerque using a word processor program and a merge function.
