AMEN! I know I'll let people know....the sweetwater flea market sells alot of puppy's...I wander if "they" are getting these animals from puppy mills? People don't realize what the mother of these puppies go through. How would "they" like being pregnant for the rest of their lives???? A question that seems hard for them to answer! Shut these inconsiderate low life money hungrey abusing people DOWN!!!!!!

When you see the same breeds week after week at the Sweetwater flea market, you can bet the puppies are being mass-produced. They are even trying to create their own "designer" breeds and selling them as such. Common sense tells you they are just mixed-breed dogs or "mutts" and not worth a lot of money. Better get your "designer" bred dog from the animal shelter where you can also find some Sweetwater flea market discards.

Well i happen to know that the puppie sellers at The Sweetwater Flea Market are regulated by the State of Tennesee and the Sweetwater Flea Market.
When i Say regulated i mean The State Ag Dept. inspects there home and kennels. I believe that if there was a puppie mill problem the State would know.I have purchased to dogs as puppies from the Sweetwater Flea Market and they are both happy and healthy.
A lot of people think that the persons selling puppies at the road as you turn in the Flea Market are part of the Flea Market but they are not. They are just people feeding of the flea market crowd. Then when their puppies are sick they say they bought them at the Sweetwater Flea Market.

Adopt from shelters.

There are plenty of good animals who are waiting on death row and need a chance to be with a family.

All of these fleamarket sellers and pet stores are just retailers for puppy mills.

Ya know I know for a fact that the people that sell the dogs at the sweetwater flea market does rip people off. My daughter has a female shihtzu and it became pregnant before she had gotten her fixed, this was a two years ago, and she had the mommy and one of the babies at sweetwater flea market and a lady wanted to buy the puppy, And yes she was selling the puppies...Ok to make a long story short, some lady came up to her at the flea market and she did sell her the puppy she had with hershe didn't know who the lady was. Well we know some people that use to have a booth there and they told us that the lady that bought the puppy is one of the ones that sells the puppies there....So my friends granddaughter went over and looked at the puppies and sure enough the one that my daughter has just sold to a lady was in one of the cages...The lady only paid $75.00 for the puppy and our friends granddaughter asked them how much the puppy was and they was selling the puppy for $450.00 and it was not for blooded shihtzu either and my daughter told the lady that. Well she told the granddaughter that it was pure shihtzu..So yes I know first hand that they lie about their puppies...I for one would never buy a puppy from the flea market...

Anybody who would buy puppies at the fleamarket need shot.

Abuse of animals is disgusting, supporting the puppy mill industry IS abuse to animals.

Amen to that, It kills me seeing them mix breeds because 9 out of 10 end up at the shelter, I saw a woman there this weekend trying to sell Hybrids and she even told the man she was talking to "I have NEVER heard of a hybrid turning on its owner" if shes never heard it shes never been around anyone that's had one for long, I had a hybrid that had very little wolf in it that a friend gave us, it turned on me and my dad when it was 6 weeks old, every person I have known that had one turned on them, I only had one after that that didn't turn yet he came from the highest quality breeder I have ever met and both parents were very loving.

Also you never know if you are truly getting the mix they say you are, this same lady at the sweetwater flea market said that it's other half was "Husky" I own a husky, it has pointy ears and a pointed nose like Every other husky, also wolves have pointed noses and ears and the puppies she had was flopped ears and a flatter nose, I even asked her "is this puppy mixed with a Great Pyrenees?" due to its looks and that's when she said "no its husky"

My wife and I bought a puppy at the Sweetwater Flea Market. Everything went really well for about 1 year, then one day when I came home from playing tennis, at the yacht club, bless it's heart, it's head and ass had traded places. I didn't notice it at first, but when a car drove by the trailer, it ran out to the road and farted at the car. Since then every time he has to poop, he runs around for an hour licking his lips to get the taste out of his mouth. I know it's something those heartless bastards at the flea market done to him!

At one time I enjoyed puppies and dogs. Not so now. If you don't want to change your mind about them, don't drive down MCconkey St. in Madisonville from one o'clock in the morning until daylight......it is a barking contest. Keep me awake all night. Call the cops?? you gotta be kidding! I do not blame it on the dogs...it is the owners who are disrupting everyone in earshot!

I purchased a puppy from the sweet water flea market as a early Christmas present from my husband. We were looking for a puppy 5 to 6 pounds full grown. The lady kept telling me that the puppy I chose was perfect because he would be 5 to 6 pounds fully grown. Well she lied to me, he is at 13 pounds now and I was shocked when the vet had told me he would get up to 15 to 16 pounds full grown.. On top of that, the day I brought him home I noticed fleas crawling all over this poor little 7 week old baby pup.. I took him to the vet the next morning and he had ear mites as well... Along with ringworm and it had caused me along with 3 others in the house to get ringworm from the puppy as well....I paid 400.00 dollars for the puppy and ontop of vet bill after vet bills within that first week I had spent 1000.00 for him and trying to get him healthly. Poor thing had to be shaved down completely and was on all sorts of medication... He is my baby boy though, he is Soo precious and smart and I wouldn't give him up for anything.. I love him so much but all he went through as well as the money I've spent purchasing him and nursing him back to health is ridiculous... They are just ripping people out of there money and the puppys were not healthy..

Seriously if the puppy I purchased had fleas, ear mites and ringworm. Better believe all the other pups did as well... Those people need to be put out of business and they are just shady people just out for your money and doesn't give 2 shits about the poo little puppy's.. I'm glad I could give this little baby a good and loving home because we all know that the sellers don't give them attention, love and time and they do not take care of them properly... It's an absolute shame and I am so disgusted by the sellers.....

Why don't you dog lovers research the internet and find out just how many diseases you are subjecting your families to by having these animals in your homes? Cancer doctors are now advising their patents to stay away from animal hair and dander.(I KNOW what I am talking about) So many of us do not want them around us because of allergies, filth, etc..... PERIOD! Keep them to yourselves....I do not want to pet your "precious family member". And by the way, I am tired of knowing families who are being fed with Gov. food stamps spending our hard-earned tax dollars on dog and cat food,,,shame on you!

I am not an animal hater....they just have a place in this world and that is not in a buggy at Home Depot, etc. Food stamps are needed so the money these folks have can be spent on dog food....ask any cashier at WalMart, Kroger's, etc. You really do need to research the medical aspects of this....my mouth is cleaner because I do not eat my own feces nor lick my rear-end or eat fleas, etc. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion...I respect yours but I know what I am talking about.

Hate to admit this but I found out the hard way you are right. Our daughter was scratched by a cat and got cat scratch fever. About two years after that our son got a bad case of ringworms from our small in-house dog. That is when the doc warned us about hookworms, ringworms, and another bacteral infection that is carried by dogs and I cannot remember its name. Most of these are caused from dogs licking you or from their poop or urine. If a dog sits on your lap with a wet fanny you can easily catch the bacteril infection by touching where he set and then later putting your hand to your mouth. Please be careful around pets, they are fun but should not be handled like babies or children.

I purchased a siberian husky 6yrs ago from the sweetwater flea market. And after 2yrs of having him my vet advised me he had red mange witch is hereditary threw the parents. The lady that i purchased him from name Maranda Bennett has sold tons of these huskies to people knowing her dogs are sick and it cost $6000 to treat for this diease and not even be 100% sure that it would cure them.My niece 2yrs after purchased a dog from her and her dog died 6months after having her from red mange. We contacted her and she was absoultly so rude to was she even cussed us out.I did report her to AKC &CKC.When the humane society went to her home she had a puppy mill and 100s of her dogs were very sick on top of that they were infested with flea &ticks all over there body and 1000s in there ears.We reported this to The sweetwater flea market and they told us this had nothing to do with them but they would talk to her about it.The next weekend that we went to the flea market she was still selling those sick puppies until the humane society took them all away from her and found out all that was happening on her property with these puppies. The sweetwater flea market should have called humane society when they were notified asap. They allowed her another weekend and who knows how many more people had the same issue. It took me and my niece to take this animal abuser down.NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS FLEA MARKET VERY POOR MANAGEMENT.

Yall are cracking me up! Yes dogs and cats can pass on some diseases, but your cigarettes, drinking and driving can do far worse damage that any loveable animal that brungs joy to lonely people or kids and people that terminally ill! I bought my Abby as a 5 week old puppy from the Sweetwater flea market and breeders say she is one of the prettiest Pomeranians they have ever seen. My veterinarian thought I bought her from a high ennd breeder. Any breeder can have puppies grow to be too big or ugly. The problem is the buyer doesnt really know what to look for in a puppy and instead just fall in the with any puppy. I would however suggedt no matter where you buy a puppy to get an immediate vet check.
