There is another thread on here with mostly negative comments about the new place. But I for one loved it.

After waiting 30 minutes at lunch time with no food I left.

Better look at the menu good before you order, they charge extra for what other places include.

good food overall, and yes it was hotter then it should be, sat at the grill and observed the cooks... I have been to plenty of sushi restaurants and the cook "Cowboy" is way better then the other so if you can request to sit at his grill it will be worth your wait.

It was hot as hell in there must of been over 90 degrees and servers are fresh off the boat and cannot speak English. Do any Japanese, Chinese or Mexican places hire any locals? Aside from the heat and English - food although high but not bad. In a few months, once it cools off outside and the servers get the English barrier down a bit - will be back for another try...

It was great, a little warm about 78 but not too bad at all.
The Hibachi cook was cowboy, he was great and funny.
All wait staff there spoke english well, a strong accent but understandable, I for one would not want to go to a japanese or chinese restaurant that had regular american staff. takes away from the atmosphere.
Prices were great for the service and food you get.
on a scale of 1 to 10 I will give them an 8
way to go Mt. Fuji..

We went tonight and ate at the hibachi. It was very good. The service was also very friendly and efficient. Didn't try the sushi so can't say much about that. The people sitting with us ordered some and it looked good.

This place kind of sucks, really hot enviorment without air-condition,the servers cannot speak English, expensive food, I have never waited that long for food before and to wait that long for my bill. Everything just felt bland and tasteless, and considering the area I'd rather try someplace else next time.

Horrible!!!! You pay up front, last time the cashier just charged my card without telling me the price. i'm thinking it was alot cheaper than what she charged, had a mini confrontation bc the price was listed differently on the website. They've corrected it, but point is, she should have told me what the price of the meal would be instead of going ahead and swiping my card.the server cannot speak English as well and do not look happy to be there.

Umm I've never been forced or even asked to pay up front before ordering or looking at a menu on site??

We didn't pay up front and they charged us less than what was on the menu. The server even sat down after we ate and talked a while. She spoke very good English.

The Price was way higher than it should've been, The food was very bland, hardly any seasoning! The cook had his two children at the grill and they shared our already small portions! It was very hot in there. They would not honor the prices on the menu correctly. If your a fan of shogun in owensboro do not go here! you will be very disappointed! You have to be very specific if you want your rice fried, otherwise it "steamed" and caked together in a very small bowl! Please don't waste youre money here!

I absolutely love Mount Fuji. The 1st time we went it was hot but the 2nd time we went their air was working (they got it fixed) and the food is AWESOME. I have not tried the sushi yet but am looking forward to trying it.

We love it! The food is very good, the prices are actually cheaper than other Hibachi places we have gone to. The service was friendly and we had our dinner in front of us faster than it takes to go through the drive thru at McDonald's these days.

It's pretty good. There isn't a single Japanese person working there. At least not in the front of house. Most items on the menu are in fact Chinese and not Japanese. I find that pretty insulting. All that being said the Tonkatsu and Katsu were very good.
