Long time employee

United States

#1 Sep 22, 2010
I've been looking around and trying to find good dirt on the Carhartt plant in Hanson. I figured with all the haters on topix there would be some good sh!t on here.

So if at all possible, don't use names but, let's hear some of the good stories about the place.

Remember NO NAMES... I don't want anyone getting in trouble over this.

I use to work there and was there for alot of years and I can tell you it is all about who you suck up to and yes there is alot of affairs, drug use and affairs that goes on. The Warehouse is also known as "The Pharmacy". I know one man that worked there who at one time had an x-wife, x-girlfriend, a wife and girlfriend that worked there all at the same time, talk about awkward. Granted they are good about working with you when you need off but at the same time do nothing about those who constantly miss. This didn't happen at just the Hanson facility but at all of them, of course most have shut down now and I suspect Hanson will too in the near future. The City of Hanson gave them a break on taxes for the first 15 years of service and to add on would give them a great tax write off when they shut the doors in 2015. I'm glad I quit when I did, mentally I am much better off.
yes you sucked up to me alot, but the rest of want you said is bull

They may have sucked up to you but what they are saying about everthing else is not bull. I know who they are talking about when they are refering to the x's and wife and g/f, the dude is still a jerk and some know him these days as ol' klink. I also remember at the old facility them putting up a sign over the old warehouse that said "PHARM" so not all this person is talking about is bull and I doubt they sucked up to you either.

Carhartt needs to fire a few in upper management then it might have more inspired workers. But I guess every company has a few in management like that. As far as the drug scene out there, yeah, a lot of stuff is passed around out there. I found some "evidence" in the back on several occasions. There have also been reports of supervisors having sex with employees in the stairwells and all kinds of "favors" like that being done.(Upper management included). Some of this I know for a fact and some is hearsay so take it with a grain of salt. As far as getting "Klink" in trouble .. not gonna happen. He has a buddy that takes care of that for him.

Why you worry about the past why not get up in the today news like that Matt dude that is trying to get all the girls pregnant and give them his stuff or them girls with the fake boobs. They must all lie about them paychecks cause I took a job just so I could see them boobs. Don't be dissin on that place cause it is all that, wish I had my job back so I could keep up cause all yall want to talk about on here is the older than dirt and long before my time.

Karma..the past coming back to bite you in the ... what goes around comes around...the past don't die, people don't forget and sounds like carhartt never changes. Mgnt. needs to get a hold on their ppl. it sounds like to me. I know there is freedom of speech and doing your own thing on your own time but still sounds like alot of stuff still goes on out there.

Sounds like they do more than feed your family, drugs, alcohol, affairs, murders. If it was not union it would be a much more respectful place. The co. could weed out alot of the bad ones but the union keeps those kinds of people working. What a disgrace for those who are respectful, hard working empolyees that SHOW UP everyday with work on their mind and all those not empolyeed because the union fights for the slackers.

Carhartt is a decent place to work. Their rules they have enforced keeps people from missing all the time now. The drama is just like any other place and regardless if you stay out of it or not you will be dragged in it. People have nothing better to so when thy are forced to be around each other all the time. There are no other jobs out here in KY that can give a person a decent income anymore. I don't understand it and never will. God bless those who put up with the crap they do out there I really feel for them especially those who try and get slapped into face with crap all the time. I miss my friends out there but I'm glad I got out when I did.

I don't know who you are slapnutts but I never sucked up to you or anyone out there, I am much better than that and that is exactly why I quit. No matter how much I did, how hard I worked while the lazy ass, filthy trashy looking ass sluts and the nasty ass man whores sat around with and smug ass look on their face. I could run circles around anyone out there, but the more I did, more and more was put on cause they knew I'd get the job done and it would be perfect the first time, carhartt over looked me as they do many older ones who are/were devoted emplyees, ones Carhartt should be proud to have but because of mngt. such as yourself never have a chance because we don't suck up...we did/do our jobs with pride while you low life whore mongers are busy suckng up to each other. Your day is coming and I hope I am one that gets to watch you fall flat on your sorry ass....I am still a great employee for another place...but truth is, were it not for me alot of departments out there would not be up and running now :-P
