I believe it was what you think. To many sightings in western ky. I seen what looked like black panther 19 years ago.we are foolish to believe that any type mountain lions dont live here.they are here. Game wardens deny it. I think they don't want to scare the public. But what I seen scared me beyond belief. Be careful out there!

Well there was a bear sighting in the early 70s on laffoon trail. The person who saw the bear took a picture of it, it was in a magazine about Hopkins county

Sure, and I wonder how many dumbasses shot at it for no reason too? Lets just kill off all animals, the world would be so much better.

Mountain lions have been documented in Kentucky but rarely spotted and mostly the western part of the state. Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, say only in very small numbers though, and very hard to track or catch a glimpse of.

Is that because of distance?

A big cat that's hiding in the woods will hunt at night so a trail cam posted up on a tree near a game trail known to be traveled by wild game would be the best chance to record a close picture of the animals. Game trail cameras are motioned sensor activated, therefor they take photos of any movement that comes within view.

This makes me think of the eagle cam now being operated out of Naples Florida. Have you seen it? Mom and dad have two babies. Mom and dad are staying away from the nest more and more every day as the eaglets age. They still bring in fresh fish every day to feed them.
