Why is it that some married women want to flirt at work, and when you suggest taking it further they act like you are crazy and play the "I'm married" card?

Because a) consciously, flirting with men and getting positive attention from the makes them feel good about themselves and b) unconsciously it's a way for them to calibrate how desirable they are to men in general, and thus know if they are still desirable to their husband. When a woman knows that she is still sexually desirable, the less she has to fear that her husband will step out on her.

You're right. I just wish they would leave me alone if that's really all they're doing.

The next time a married woman starts flirting with you, start talking about how sexy the new young lady in accounting (or whereever) is. Crush her emotionally!

Or REALLY throw em off by talking about a hot dude or something

It occurs to me, though, that there is a good way of looking at this. Even though the woman is inherently disrespecting you when she flirts with you (she's emotionally manipulating you just to feel better about herself), she is flirting with you because she finds you a) to be at least as attractive as her husband (no purpose in calibrating her self worth off a lesser male than she already has) and/or b) she thinks you're a worthy enough male to be a threat to her fidelity to her husband (ie; you're enough of a dude that her husband would redouble his efforts in keeping her if she say you two flirting).

So, if she's a hot chick, know that you could attract a single chick at least as hot as her.

Better yet, tell her/them that you prefer women that are fit and in shape.

Or ask her what skin cream she uses for her laugh lines because your mom has a birthday coming up.

Or tell them the right thing that it's disrespectful to their husband and marriage that they said vows to under God and that you urself would be beside urself if you knew your wife was doing it.
