We don't need to conceal, we need openness, we need clarity, we need transparency, we need to reveal, we need a government program...

I dont have a concealed weapons permit but i carry a handgun with me at all times. In the fall and winter when i have a jacket on i have a handgun underneath it. Whether im sitting on a bench in the mall or sitting in a church service i have ajacket on and a handgun underneath it.

I dont need anyones permission to properly arm and protect myself.

No you do not need a permit to openly carry in Kentucky. You do, however need a CONCEALED carry permit if you prefer to not OC.

More and more people are open carrying and that is a good thing. But you must beware the sheeple, who bleat in terror at the sight of a gun. And who then call the police. Be prepared to possibly be confronted by law enforcement. Some of them do NOT even know state laws on open carry. Sad but true. Most cops are for folks carrying but there are a few who are intimidated. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS before you open carry, know what to say and what to do and what not to say or do. There are some very interesting videos on Youtube under "OPen Carry" of citizens educating police officers. There are also some vids of law abiding citizens being harassed and some even are held at gunpoint by officers who don't know any better, officers who handcuff these perfectly legal carriers. If you are going to open carry it's wise to have someone with you who can videotape to protect you, or have some way to rig your cellphone to do the recording while you are stopped.. There have also been some serious lawsuits out of these encounters with officers ignorant of the laws of their own state, and hopefully the education level is rising, slowly but surely. I don't open or concealed carry at the moment. But if I were at the mall or the theater, and some nutcase opened up firing, I'd sure as hell rather sit next to someone who is armed than someone who is not.
