c'mon Mike, you have never been there. You would be too uncomfortable sitting with people that have jobs, an education and can carry on an intelligent conversation. Plus those young men in there would hand you your butt once your skinny a$$ started mouthing off. No buddy, you have never been there, its not the place for you.

As though the real Fishroy would use the phrase, "just saying".

bna wrote: <quoted text> All you Southern Baptist need to remember wine was the "drink" for thousands of years including for those when Jesus walked the earth and he too drank wine. It is not illegal to drink and drive. Read that again, it is illegal and drive when over 0.08 blood alcohol. If a man has two beers with meal and wife a glass of wine - big deal. I guess you are going to step outside to call the Roman Soldiers when Jesus and his followers had a glass or two of wine and the last supper? It is when the guy has 6 beers and the wife have 4 glasses of wine and kids in car and they drive home then there is an issue. Issues like the above in Madisonville is why a large percent of the people that make money in the town, the money exits for when they get older most move away. People like Brown Badget that made money from area and stayed and gave back are rare. There have been many Brown Badget's in terms to wealth and they move off - just like the Hudson family just this month. I am against drinking when one has had too much to drink, do not get me wrong, but this town is backwards. Two beers at dinner hurts no one - the issue in the town is the backwards and the meth problem. Who in the right mind would put meth into their body. I guess the education is not too high in the area or no one would touch this stuff... tsk, tsk, tsk.... who is judgemental now?? I don't recall anywhere in my comment where I said I was a Southern Baptist. No, one beer or glass of wine with dinner does not make you "drunk"; however, it can impair you. I guess I should have elaborated for you a little bit deary. When I stated that I had seen "mom and dad drinking" there were 5 beer bottles on the table and "mom" was knocking back margarita after margarita. Could they have been non-alcoholic (because I am so sure you will ask)?? Of course they could. However, when "mom's" eyes become glassy and her laughter gets more and more loud and uncontrollable, I would highly doubt that this is the case. So, you can step down off your moral high-ground and quit "religion bashing" and open your eyes and see that there is a problem when restaurants sell alcohol and do not take the time to regulate it and I will continue to take the time to phone them in to the local PD every time I feel like someone has had too much to drink and will be getting behind the wheel of a vehicle. I have lost family members and dear friends to drinking and driving and if I can prevent that from happening to someone else -- I WILL EVERY TIME!!!

It's by far one of the best restaurants in town. They have excellent service from their servers and the food has been great here of late. For the people drinking there, it happens it has a bar. Open your eyes and look at every other restaurant in town, it happens there too. Casa, Applebee's, Tumbleweed, El Bra, Difabios, and Bully's. Blackwells just has dedicated regulars that I am proud of being one of.
