doubt they will take your liscense for a year..they just want your money pay the fines and bring proof of insurance to the courthouse during your court date.

they will take take them for a year! Just had it happen to me on my second charge! If you don't have insurance at the time you get pulled over, you just can't go and get it afterwards and think its gonna count. They will look at the date on the card and if it not for the time you get pulled over, your done

Well Good advice then bud...Best thing to do would be to get insurance huh..no getting around it..it's almost like they are infringing on citizens rights or something..Making everyone have insurance even if you drive a 71 rabbit that's 4 different colors but gets you where you need to go..Maybe if all the idiots living above there means didn't lease all these cars and actually owned something we wouldn't be made to get insurance..just a thought.

Just call your agent and tell them whats up, or don't your choice, but tell them you need a card ran back. What I always do. But I'm one of those Money Family's like Lions Den talked about, so you may be SOL if your not and/or can't charm women/men both. Corrupt? It's a Well Oiled machine running the way America always has if you ask me. Class Courtesy

It's people like you that make honest, upstanding people like me SICK!!! Why drive without insurance?? Anything can happen! Then what?
You should go to jail!! Especially if it is your second offense!! I hope you do lose your license!! But I don't really guess it will matter anyway because if you are driving with no insurance there is no doubt in my mind that you will be driving on a suspended license as well!!
I just hope to God you never hit me or anyone else in a parking lot or run a red light or stop sign and plow me down!
Pathetic!!

Well he was pulled over because some one duct taped the tags on his Vehicle! I heard the the finger prints have been observed on the duct tape. What an idiot to not check your plates and vehicle every day before you take off driving! The person had proper up to date insurance cards at the time being pulled over. The officer called their insurance company. Insurance company said it shows he has insurance but did nt recieve payment. Insurance company said no policy. The person sent in payment weeks ago to the main office. The main office must have lost payment. So the person ask the officer to leave the car parked till he walked to incurance company and make payment. The office said no and towed the car. The person made payment to the insurance company the same day and got car out of storage. Officers are there to save lives for people! But it seems that lwa enforcement officers are also becomming sales people in cases when there are mix up in aministrative paper work! Wow! what a way to pay off that 100 million dollar court house! No excuses that its against the law in all states for operating a vehicle without insurance!

Seems like a steep fine and or penalty for someone who doesn't have insurance that gets into a wreck, and who is deemed at fault is all that is needed..If your car is a piece of crap it really aint worth having insurance unless you cause an accident, then it just helps out the other party and costs you more anyhow...The old laws we had were sufficient enough.

Your insurance was due on February 28th, 2013. You had nine days after that day to have paid your insurance to avoid it being cancelled. ThatÂ’s all of the grace period you have. It was not paid during that grace period so it cancelled on February 28th, 2013. After that grace period the insurance is reinstated at the time that you pay it. No way to show proof that you had insurance at the time you got pulled over because you did not have insurance. You had insurance later that day, not at the time you got stopped. If an additional payment shows up they will return the money to you.

"A stop of a vehicle by an officer for the sole purpose of verifying auto insurance is a violation of the 4th Amendment to the US Constitution which prohibits unlawful searches and seizures."

Now you tell me if that insurance company is not working for a commission for the city of Madisonville. This is what the insurance company told the person. Person was pulled over on the 7th of March because of duct tape on my stickers. The Officer could not see duct tape on stickers from where his car was. Officer sped up to the back of the vehicle then he seen duct tape and pulled car over and pulled duct tape off. Up to date prof of insurance was shown to officer. Officer called insurance company and company said insurance lapsed. Person ask officer if they could leave vehicle parked and go down to pay on policy. Officer said no and towed auto. Person went a head and paid insurance again the same day. Person got vehicle out the same day. Sounds like wanting money for the new court house.
