Really none of your business what a church does, you don't like it don't go there!

I don't know if it's true because that's not the church I attend, so I don't concern myself with it. But have you ever considered that if they were, maybe they are just looking at the big picture in terms of helping the needy. J. Nelson stands up for coal and coal miners, many of whom are out of work right now. If they are out of work too much longer, they are going to start needing help. Maybe the church believes that trying to get a particular person elected will help these men get back to work to help themselves.

Why dont someone call and ask the Church instead of getting on here and starting a bunch of bs or call and ask the Nelson guy ... why not try to find out that way ... this is not the way to find the answer you are asking!

is it even legal for a church being tax exempt and with seperation of church and state to contribute to any political campaign? If it is, it really shoudnt be IMO. Unless said church wants to start paying taxes

More lies from Larry and his goonies. It's a shame he has to sink to such levels. If he would have done a better job as our elected official then he wouldn't need to try and destitution an honest man reputation. Ask Josh your self. He would be more then glad to answer any questions you might have.

Why is that odd? Political parties are killing America. Even George Washington warned about them, of course, I highly doubt you have read any history.

And I highly doubt you have read any of Josh's so called policies dealing with coal.

This post is a low ball attempt to undermine a man who has my vote. If you have questions about whose funding his campain, direct them to the man himself, rather trying to stir rumors and attempt to defimate a good mans character on a public forum.
He has my vote and everyone I know is voting for him.
He's a good Christian man, family man, who served our country and works to support his family mining coal. He's out in the trenches right now and I have no doubt he will work hard for Boone county , Wv and the miners !

Coal is West Virginia's state rock. It's my belief that Josh is well intentioned. But to me it seems like the coal thing is too much. What little is said about the actions he plans to take to help the industry, doesn't quite measure up to the impact he has lead people to believe. That's my only real issue with the man. Past that he has all the tools to do well in politics. Small town appeal, military service record, beautiful wife and kid, not bad looking himself, has a few quality ideas (that should be more prevalent in his campaign). He seems capable. But using mining as almost a crutch is bad form.

Not good intentions, not Mitt Romney, nor Josh Nelson, or Even Obama can change what is really happening to coal. Its markey condition economics. Natural gas is putting the real squeeze on coal. not politics

Not denying that the economy is the big impact. But politics could be used to give the industry the chance to restructure.

Natural gas is cheaper because of market manipulation. You obviously have no clue about that. And there is most deffinately more our state can do to stand up to the federal government. Read the 9th and 10th Amendment to the US constitution. And Josh is not using the coal thing, HE IS A COAL MINER! Most of you who keep bashing him are hardcore Larry Barker supporters, who just went in People's Mag. with Maria Gunnoe who hates coal, or tree huggers.

No you are just an idiot who refuses to accept that when it comes down to it you are clueless to anything. The state government cannot dictate what the national government does. Sorry it just doesn't happen. Blame it on anyone you like. It won't change it. The coal thing is a load of shit. He uses it to get all the stupid jack hill ignorant coal miners and all their friends and families to vote for him. And he does this because he knows that not only are they too lazy to learn anything about his plans, they will complete deny anything anyone tells them about it, just like yourself.

nothing against Josh. and clueless i am far from. Natural gas is easier to get then coal and takes less men to do so and is more abundant, burns cleaner and is more cost effective all the way around. Politics may be able to help out a little, but in the long run, the market will dictate the outcome. welcome to capitalism

It is none of your business how ANY church uses their money, unless your a member of that church. The churches get no government money, the funding comes from the members. It would be no different than me saying Target shouldn't use their money to support Sodomy...but they do...therefore I don't shop there. Target and a host of other businesses support the lowly homosexual, so they don't get my hard earned money. I don't care what Target does with their money...but I won't give them mine. Therefore...if you don't think a church should do something with the money...don't give it to that church.
