pay stolen

I took a newpaper route this year to help pay some bills. I did the route that went from Price Hill to Wharton. I worked this route for about 8 months then I quit for a better job. I quit on Dec. 2, 2012. The newpaper own me a paycheck on Dec. 4, 2012. Well I didn't get it. So I call to find out why all I get is voice mail. No return call from the newpaper. Here a warning to those who would do this route. In the end they will screw you out of your pay.

You have to be legally paid your final wages within a certain time period by law. Call the WV Labor Board.

The WV Labor Board consider newpapers route as contracted work they don,t consider them as employee by the company even though you are pay by them. They will not help contract workers with pay issues. They said file a suit with small claims court.

You are a poster child for why being a 7th grade dropout doesn't cut it in this economy.

Christ, couldn't you have at least become assistant fry guy at McDonald's?

I took the route for extra money to pay in my college loan. You need to think before you predetermine that I have just a 7th grade education. OH, your name shows your age or your IQ.(hugh jirection) or lack of something sexual.

I too went on to earn 2 college degrees. Any job is better then no job. Really shows his IQ. When I delivered papers, I averaged $1400.00 a month

If you live in Boone County,$1400/mo. puts you in the top 1% of all wage earners.

if you were contract, and you didn't give a notice when you quit, they aren't required to pay you

I never sign anything saying I would forfeit my pay, so I will see them in small claim court.
