We the citizens of Boone County must demand this officer be fired, his actions show he is incapable of making good decisions.

I disagree with firing him. I mean how would you feel if you seen your wife or husband with someone else. You probably would react the same way.

It doesn't matter if you agree or disagree with firing him. The fact is that he was in a police/tax payer funded vehicle and acted inappropriately. This questions his ability to control his temper and make good judegements.

He did not ram his crusier into anyone, if you watch the news you will see that. He is human like the rest of us. If you caught your spouse cheating on you, you would do the same thing. People react to things like that not realizing what it could cause. Noone likes being cheated on. He is one of the best officers Boone county has. SO if a coal miner or a doctor done the same thing should they get fired? They are making others look bad! It amazes me how just because he is a police officer that you think he should be fired. He done what any of you would have done. He is no better than anyone else. If it was a fireman or a Denist or a coal miner even, I guarantee you that there would not be this much publicity and gossip. Some of you have nothing better to do than to stir crap or blow everything out of proportion. He may have done wrong by doing it on duty but like I said, Noone wants to be cheated on. So GROW UP!!!

The gas pedal stuck, thats all they are to it. Their was a recall just for that problem a while back. The car manufacture is at fought as far as the collision. We should just be glad that no one was physically hurt. The perpetrator is not going to file charges according to the TV news. The surveillance tape will show it was the gas pedal.

This is a person in a job that requires split second decisions. They make decisions everyday that decide if someone lives or dies. This officer made a bad decision and it now questions his ability to do so correctly and timely. The gas pedal stuck, really, so if your wife was in the car with a cop and you slammed your car into him, would that excuse work? NO! You would have committed a crime in a fit of anger, which is exactly what this man did. No matter how you look at the situation, HE COMMITTED A CRIME in a fit of ANGER! I don't want police officers that commit crimes in the fit of anger. What is this were a school bus driver, ramming his bus into a car with his wife in it because she was with another man. What if this was a fireman with a fire truck. STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR THIS CRIMINAL.

Police Officers are held to a higher standard, to the public and should always exercise professionalism, This Police Officer failed. At the Academy and the training Police Officers receive and the situations they deal with on a daily basis this is strickly prohibited behavior. Not only is it an embarrasement to us all of Boone County, but having this behavior in another County where he was on duty and out of jurisdiction, makes this situation worse. I am betting that he wasn't even sippose to be in the area and and was handling his own personal private investigation.

It doesn't matter if he is a cop or not, he is married and his wife was cheating on him. He has every right to do what he did. Granted he should have did it off the clock but if it was you then you would be mad to. You all think you are so much better than everyone else. Why don't you get off the pills and go find a job! Since you all know how things should be handled then you should apply for a job with the sheriff's department.

I hope he gets fired and his wife takes him for every dime he has, which prolly isn't much. This is KARMA paying this piece of "filth" a visit. What do you think of yourself now "Tough Guy"?? The badge of a dirty cop becomes tarnished and loses its' power, apparently, when you have a little weiner. Fire the trash!

Um excuse me...I really wish u people would know what was really going on before you are so quick to judge this man....I guess if you were a lil more educated and had a damn job...you wouldn't have all this time to be running your pie holes..what's in your closets???

Officers are held to a higher standard, or at least they are supposed to be. Off the clock, not in his county vehicle, not acting as a member of law enforcement, then I wouldn't see the issue with what happened. But being that he was a representative of the county and the department at the time of the incident, there should be repercussions. Don't know if out right firing him is taking it to far. But I could see some voluntary anger management among other things as a good first step. He should have called law enforcement with jurisdiction if a physically altercation couldn't be avoided. See how it feels when you call for help and it never comes, then they blame you when you are left dealing with it alone.

So are you a cop or just a wifey? You don't need much education to know that purposely ramming someone is wrong.

Mary you obviously don't pay taxes and since you default to pills as an attack on others I won't imply that you do that, I'll just out and say it. I do pay taxes and my tax money pays this moron's wages and for the repairs to his cruiser along with the gas that he was using to most likely go shopping at Walmart. Get off your high horse and spread your liberal love everyone crap elsewhere.

Sorry but being upset and being in a blinding rage is quite different.
