Madison needs this new ordnance to make Madison more beautiful and to keep the bugs at bay.

To keep bugs at bay, we simply need to bring back DDT. DDT kept all the mosquitos and gnats away as well. Ticks and other parasites were not a problem either. A 3 inch grass ordinance in wrong. The government should not be telling people how long thier grass should be.

I think it's a great idea. They need to make it prettier here in town. Why shouldn't the government tell people how tall their grass should be? I love when the government helps us have nicer things!

the only real solution to the issue of over grown grass is ..... agent orange defoliate.

Kim you said you love it when the government helps us have nicer things....are you referring to your HUD Apartment and the T-Bones you buy with your foodstamps? Who are you to judge me? Why does everyone have a problem with cutting their grass. I have lots of guys that will cut my grass for me. So what if I have a HUD trailer? None of your business, I worked for over 3 years at McDonald's. You know how hard it is to work in fast food? You ever done it? I deserve to not have to work, I worked my ass off putting your food together, so get off my case and look in your own closet.

You grass doesn't belong to you, it belongs to the earth. We need to care for mother earth and keep her beautiful. I'm in favor of anything that helps the earth.

While I'm sure Madison is not considering something so stupid but if they are I doubt they'd be able to enforce it. Further it'd take far more than this to make Madison more attractive which is probably the comical direction the troll op wanted to go. Some adivce on how to help beautify or improve Madison/Danville would be: Seperate lines at the post office for people with jobs and welfare/ssi bums that want their money orders, manditory baths or showers, outlaw stretch pants or sweat pants, build giant walls around the trailer parks (you'll also feel like you live in a hedge maze, hide Stanley, hide the other people that loaf around town, and if all else fails rebuild the town and start over 20 miles down the road.
How about just let the military use Madison as an explosives testing ground?

The city wont even deal with abandoned, dilapidated building / homes that need to be condemned or yards that look like some landfill. Do you really think they are going to run around the city with rulers checking your lawn?
I think not. What we really need is that arsonist from Huntington to come take care of these building that are collapsing. It would remove unsightly / hazardous conditions and give our fire depts. some good practice.
Just my 2 cents.

Their will indeed be a three inch grass ordnance in Madison. Also all dilapidated structures will be removed. If citizens don't want to cut their grass, they will be fined. If citizens don't take care off their property they will be fined. This is necessary to continue beautification projects and receiving more grants to make Madison more attractive for economic development. According to the study this needs to be done.

one thing that needs to be done is they need to do something with the idiot who set fire to the dumpster at Goodwill. He is mentally unstable staggers around in the road all hours of the night and morning. And screams to the top of his lungs at the houses. He is the exact type who ends up getting a hold of a gun and killing a bunch of innocent people

We need to nip this new Madison grass law in the but. Everybody has to stick together on this. I say come spring that nobody cuts their grass, let it grow all summer, don' cut your grass. If we all stick together on this maybe they will reconsider, despite what the urban renewal study says.
