A police officer should be on guard at every school.

We will then need armed guards for every store in the mall, for every theater, for every religious place of worship, for any public transportation. Bring on the military state! The sooner we get our kids used to having to walk by armed guards everywhere the quicker they will learn to OBEY.

Bring back the Ten Commandments in the school. Thou Shalt Not Kill is pretty important.

They have armed guards in every state house in the nation. Malls already have armed guards. The big difference here is that schools are filled with children who are not only mandated to be there, but are also not viewed as legally responsible for themselves. School children are the responsibility of the administration and teachers while they are in attendance. Students deserve some viable source of protection seeing as they cannot carry a weapon for self defense while at school.

Truth is, you can't stop a madman with a gun from doing harm to someone, somewhere. We have tried the police at school, but stopped for whatever reason. Same thing will happen with NRA proposal.

We definitely need MORE GUNS IN SCHOOLS! That will make them safer. Because the numbers don't lie, if you mix children with weapons, you get Strawberry Shortcake.

Hey condoms don't prevent people, people prevent people, so support condom guards at every school to control class size!

Security Officer

I have worked several years for a Government Contractor providing armed security and I do believe I have made a difference in helping to keep the building safe. I have had people point their fingers at me like they have a pistol and others pretending to pull a pistol out of their coat pockets. While these are amusing antics I do realize if you cannot get the first draw then you become the shooters target. If every school had just one security it is better than having none at all. Teachers, Administrators, Cooks, and Teachers Aides have enough responsibilities dealing with all the students on a daily basis. If the State of West Virginia truly wants to give our schools more protection then they need to provide responsible Security Officers for our schools. This is just my opinion.

^^^^ bad idea. security costs money. this country is broke. no more spending. the principal and a coach can go to gun classes. they can be like an air marshall. this is my plan and its free.

You are ignorant if you think that it should be a job requirement of people that spent 8 years of their life in school for their profession to also be trained to carry firearms and kill a human being if required.

The entire problem is moral decline, not guns. This was never a problem in the past, and guns were available in larger numbers and easier access. The problem is people aren't being taught "Thou Shalt Not Kill!"

Very simple.
