How in the hell is Hudson at fault with any of this? You idiots and your personal crusades. So in today's society it's ok for a cop, who carries a gun, mace, and handcuffs, to assault someone while on duty in his uniform, but its a crucify able offense for the lady in charge of your child's finger paints to have a little too much to drink. I'm not excusing the actions, but I've got to point out the social irony of the two situations.

What part of "driving under the influence" do u not understand? Its 1 thing to be somewhere u r gonna stay and drink a lil too much but to do it and then drive especially with children in the vehicle, is just stupid. She could have easily went down the road wrecked and killed someone including HER OWN CHILDREN!! I think there should be firmer laws against this. U r not only endangering urself but everyone else that is out there on the road. Also did u not understand that it was her second offense? Seriously ppl if u r gonna drink, thats ur business but when u decide to get out on the road and drive its my business too!!

Which is why I said not excusing her actions. Yea she screwed up majorly. And I agree that laws should be firmer with DUI. I was merely pointing out that wrong is wrong no matter who you are, if its the finger paint lady or the one arresting her.

It's called drawing a social comparison. You don't see anyone taking it easy on this women. She did wrong and will have to pay for it. Shouldn't that apply to everyone?

I'm sorry but Hudson & the board are aware of Christina's activities! She has been escorted out of Brookeview more than once by board members & 1x by the police due to being high/drunk! Why is she still employed?? There may not be an "off duty conduct policy" but the drug-free workplace policy obviously isn't being enforced when it comes to her!

They can not legally drug test any school employees because its considered a privacy violation, bus drivers are the only ones drug tested because they fall under federal dot regulations.

All teachers have to take or drink something to put up with these Boone County students that come from parents that didn't discipline them at all. Most of the students are smart elects and drug abusers that come from drug abusers and alcoholics parents. These kids don't seem to have never been disciplined in their life. They don't take school seriously. School is nothing but a circus. The teachers are their for the paycheck. The students don't care, the parents don;t care, so why should the teachers care. Welcome to the real world.

To imply that Boone County Teachers do not care about our students is farsicle at best. We absolutely care about our students, and by far and wide, we will do everything we can to promote a learning environment in our classrooms. Most of you have no idea what we (as teachers) carry, but we do it because we love our occupation, and we do it for our students.
It's easy to come on to this website and talk about teachers like we have no feelings for our students at all. Most of us (as teachers) spend a great deal of time in preparing our lessons, reviewing our materials, and teaching our students in the finest ways we know how. We're not perfect, but neither are the parents or anyone else. Ours is a dedicated profession, and we're here to serve, though (sadly) we get little appreciation from our communities we serve in for the job we do.
To imply that we teach for a 'paycheck' is comical to say the least. West Virginia ranks 47th in teacher pay, and if we wanted 'the money' we could be making a lot more in other states. Considering everything we do, and all we contend with, we make very little pay in our field. Were it not for the fact that we love our occupation, we could get another job in another field as we are college educated individuals.
Contrary to what many of you believe, we are not the alcoholics and 'pill heads' you make us out to be. I for one do not drink, and I have never done drugs of any kind. It's called self respect, and a great many of us in our profession have it. In fact, most of us do. Teachers deal wih quite a lot, and in these tough times, our job is even tougher at times. Instead of coming on here and speaking ill of us, give us a hand when you can. Most teachers welcome support from the parents of their students, and it is greatly appreciated.

WOW!! The truth FINALLY comes out!!! I DO discipline my children. I also expect my childs teacher(s) to be in their right state of mind while my child is in their care. If they have to take or drink something just to put up with these children, then they are in the wrong field. I think they ALL should be randomly drug tested. My childs safety is in their hands. If we cant trust the so called "teachers" then who can we trust. This just makes me want to home school my child even more. If its not the bullies at school thats making your childs day bad, its the teachers who are just there for a paycheck. That really makes me sick!! You say that the students and parents don't care? I do and so does my child. He really wants to learn. When my child was in Kindergarten I volunteered all the time and so did a lot of other parents, so you can't say ALL of them don't care because I know better. Also, not all of the parents are on drugs. We go to church and try to raise our children the way God wants us to, with morals and values. Like I said before, if they are just there for a "paycheck", then they need to find another line of work.

I want to thank you for being a real teacher. I know that not all of them are bad. My child has had several nice, good hearted teachers and I am very thankful for those of you who do care about our childrens future. I agree, for the ones who ARE there for the children, you don't get paid enough and I'm sorry. Again, I do thank you from the bottom of my heart and I hope you have a Merry Christmas...God Bless!!

You are pitiful & if your "friend" is actually a teacher then he/she should find a new profession if this us the type of crap they are portraying about their students! Of course there are parents out there that don't discipline their kids & do drugs & maybe their kids don't take school seriously, but it's because they don't have a positive adult role model in their life! It's not the kids fault! So instead of your "friend" being a negative, drug/alcohol abusing, only in it for the check kind of teacher; he/she should be that 1 positive adult in his/her students' life!
Personally I think that the majority of the teachers in Boone are great & like another poster said, if they were in it for the money they would either teach somewhere else or have chosen a different career path. Kudos to teachers for helping educate our children, & notice I said "helping" because parents are their kids'#1 teacher!!
