republicans would rather support corporations instead of organized groups of workers working to secure a fair work environment A.K.A a union, I ask them to walk the walk as well. Give up every benefit and right that you use that unions are responsible for.

The "war" on women is a democrat thing. It was the democrats that poked the nation in the eye with that wedge issue because their failed record and obstructive actions in the congress needed cover. Something to motivate the easily manipulated into emotional responses to meaningless and senseless rhetoric. The Romney campaign was asked by the Huff Post if Mitt supported the Lilly-Ledbetter Act. The bigger question is why the President doesn't. White House staff in similar positions finds the female employees making 60k a year where their male counterparts make 71K. According to the Labor Dept. stats', the overwhelming majority of job losses since the President took office has been amongst women. The oral contraceptive argument made it's way to the stage by democrats when George Stephanopulous badgered the republicans in a debate over the issue and then like magic we have Sandra Fluk testifying to a mock congressional hearing staged by Nancy Pelosi. Then the whole Limbaugh fiasco and the feigned outrage by the left. The left live in a state of perpetual outrage, imagined or real. They tend to be miserable people.

What are you talking about? Every single thing you listed is a benefit that is provided because the business exists and manages to be profitable in spite of the union. Take away the business that provides the jobs, and the union has absolutely no foundation to exist. Unions do not create any wealth. They are a lampray that feeds on it's host until it gets sick and dies, unless the host is funded by the taxpayers. I see that one of your so called victories is the Equal Pay Act. Why is it that the President doesn't even practice what you preach amongst the White House staff?

It was there failed and corupt policys that brought in the union in the first place.

Thats correct, unions do not create any wealth. Not only that, but construction union workers spend more time laid off then non union workers and they represent a very small minority of the industries workforce in construction. Unions drive up the cost of contracts which in turn shrinks significantly the customer base that is willing to pay the extra freight. Taxpayers are the biggest victims of the fleecing that unions sponsor.

Private sector unions cost the tax payer nothing.

Union members promote a fair wage for non union workers, thats a fact, incluing managements pay scale.

ceo's pay is up 200 percent since the decline of unions would you like a pat on the head for all your hard work or do you think 60 hour a week labor is only worth pennys on the dollar as the corperation partys in there mansions and laugh at the low labor cost.

Once serving a public service unions are now engaged in securing mostly featherbedding type benefits not tied to any kind of productivity and have reached the point of uselessness. Marxist union bosses use their forced dues war chest from workers paychecks to buy elections for the union bosses' pet democratic candidates who then return the favor by passing legislation favorable to unions.

Sorry to be the one to tell you your wrong, but your flat out wrong. The Davis-Bacon Act requires that Non-Union contractors pay prevailing wages on projects for the GAO and the Army Procurement, not even counting State projects and some County and City projects that are all payed for with tax dollars. I am talking about ten's of billions of tax dollars a year. When I am contracted to do work at either TARDEC or at Selfridge, I am looking at having to pay my men with no distinction to years employed by me or the varying degrees of skill levels among them. It is currently $42 and change for the wage and benefit determination on a painter. It absolutely without question adds about 35% to the cost of what I would otherwise pay, not to mention the inflated workers comp. costs, which are based on the per hundred of gross payroll. Same guy, same production and service from him, just a much larger paycheck and higher insurance and tax costs. The customer pays that unless of course the cost is so high they choose not to do the project, or go to a qualified and experienced non-union contractor like myself.

Featherbedding, forcing union employees to work at a slower "union speed" to stretch the job out, mandatory union membership to keep job, mandatory confiscation of union dues from employees paychecks, marxist union bosses using employee dues to buy elections for democratic candidates who then in turn pay back by passing pro union laws, union thug tactics......

Unions have outlived their usefullness.

Private sector unions drive costs up and price American products out of the market. And union bosses make millions and millions off of dues and political favors. Unions used to have a purpose- now they are just another mouth at the trough.

It would be nice if they offered literacy programs, though...good grief.

Unions banned - 2 May 1933. The Trade Unions offices were closed, their money confiscated, and their leaders put in prison.

Unions will never outlive there usefulness we will continue to fight corperate greed and political corruption at all costs.

Who will keep them honest once we are gone ? who will stop them from repealing laws that protect the comman man once we are gone ?? no one..
