Web cigarette sales burn hole in high state taxes

Wisconsin and other states either don't know who is buying cigarettes over the Internet and not paying state taxes, or they know and don't go after the culprits.

Can not gamble online but land casinos are ok, can not buy cigarettes online the taxes are crazy, can not order medications online as the prices in the US are outrageous......seems that its all about tax money, and our politicians dare to speak of russia and china....we are not to far behind.

You've got it on this one Frank... Outlaw cigarettes, but tax the user, and outlaw the product. Gasoline, outlaw the product, but tax the user.
How about alcohol? Should we not be having cries to outlaw Beer, and then be taxing at the rate of two dollars a can.? The good Lord knows we need
to cutback on drunk drivers, and just think of the additional state income. The average american
consumes approx 55 gallons of beer a year, at 2.00 per 12 ounce can. Whoa, we can get this country out of debt in no time.
Also have States trying to claim 60% of unused
gift card purchases. We need more money for the
good folks that represent us. they have an awakening as soon as they walk into a State legislative office, and know for sure what Americans want and need..........

They could just ban cigarettes.

They would have to make them illegal first. Then who would front the govt. money for lost income from taxes on cigarettes.
