MADISON, Wis. - As four game wardens awkwardly stood guard, protesters, scores deep, crushed into a corridor leading to the governor's office Wednesday, their screams echoing through the Capitol: "Come out, come out, wherever you are!" Behind closed doors, Scott Walker, the Republican who has been governor for about six weeks, calmly described his ...

Oil companies wreck entire ecosystems & the US govt subsidizes them. Banks, insurance companies, & investment companies bring the world to it's economic knees & the US govt bails them out. The media, the govt, & big business then blame the teachers. Shouldn't take a rocket scientist to put 2&2 together.

Aren't you folks getting tired of the tax breaks the wealthy get from the state. Just saw on the news where he gave away tax breaks to corporations and now is asking for the working class to sacrifice, when did a wealthy ever sacriface? Why even the oil company EXXON which made 19.5 billion in profits did not pay taxes in 2009 but got back a tax return of over 150 million dollars-- guess the working folks are paying for that giveaway also. Also the workers of Wisconsin are being asked to sacrifice, why not the legislators give up part of their pay? Are they going to do any sacrifing. Seems to me national and local the working people are being asked to sacrefice, where are the rich going to be asked to do a little bit of that sacrificing as they can surely afford it. Even the corporations do not pay taxes. Reckon they expect you to make up the difference in salary give backs to the state and nation in give backs.

So the problem as you see it is that because public employees are paid by tax dollars (public employees pay them too) and they pay about $50 a month into a union (which in turn creates jobs), that this is the reason America is in debt??? Nothing to do with Wall Street bankers raiding state pension funds over the years??
A Wisconsin poll, by a non-partisan group, just polled residents and found that 65% thought Governor Walker went too far in taking away collective bargaining rights. And 75% of these did not have public workers in their household.
It might be 88% in your household, but not in the state of Wisconsin.

Now in Britain there really is atea party of the people, not of the corporations as they are here. The U.K. TEA PARTY is knwo as the UK uncut. Now did the working folks cause this cash shhortage,NO. Now who had the power to make these decisons, the governor and the legislatoors did. So why did they not take a cut in pay, pay their insurance, and retirement plans-- were they asked to sacrifice. I doubt. Now to get back to the UK UNCUT TEA PARTY. oNE PERSON ,A NURSE FOUND OUT THAT VODAPHONE HAS NOT PAID THEIR TAXES, REFUSING TO DO SO FOR YEARS. Vodaphone owed a whopping 6 billion pounds to the tax payers. this was according to the magazine private eye. Now why did they make a claim they owed no taxes, SEEMS THEY WERE DOING BUSINESS OUT OF A MAIL BOX IN ANOTHER COUNTRY. Now that is what I call offshoring the profits--mailboxing is done in our country also so the rich and the corporations can avoid paying taxes. I guess you could call it taxvoidance. the Labor Party which was in charge at the time insisted that Vodaphone pay their taxes. they agin refused. Now govrment in the meantime changed hands and control went to the Conservatives and they actually apoligized to the rich and largely canceled most of the bill-- VODAPHONE ONLY HAD TO PAY A MEASLY 1 BILLION OF THE TAXES. sOUND FAMILAR, jUST ABOUT LIKE A REPUBLICAN WOULD DO. BUT IF THE PEOPLE PAID A USEAGE TAX ON THEIR PHONES, WHP GOT TO KEEP THAT TAX MONEY? nOW THAT non collected tax money was about equal to the program that was deleted by the Conservative goverment that will put 200,000 elderly folks out of their homes they live in that is supported with a subsidy. The same thing is happening here in our countrytoday, now. Now if those corporations paid their taxes we would be out of this hole that has been being dug for the past 30 years. Starting when Reagan said he was going to cut taxes and cut the goverment, he only privatized what goverment he cut. Same with thse that came after him. It is a little different when a person works and sweats for a living makeing a paycheck-- they are taxes each and every payday. Are you not working people. Now if the rich and the very ewealthy were taxes on the same scale as the working class is taxed the whole dame deficit hole would be filled up in a matter of a few years. After all what working class person uses a mail box for tax voidance, offshored.

Another fact for you folks, About 700 to 800 rich people leave our country each year to give their amercian citizenship back. they go to offshore tax havens, yes, off shore tax havens. Once there they give up there citizenship they move their moneys offshore to that tax haven and pay no amercian taxes, voiding what they made in profits in our country so they can pay no taxes. They then if they own a company moce it offshore in name relocating it by renting a mail box. Agin avoiding the taxes they made in the U.S. of A. Now ain't that PATRIOTISM FOLKS. Ater relocating, giving up their citizenship, relocating their company offshore, they do this to avoid taxesin the US.A. they then re-enter our country and enjoy the protection they do mnot and can not get elsewhere. They use our streets, highways, Air ports and other conviniences, meanwhile not paying 1 penney in taxes. Now that is really TAX VOIDANCE. nOW IF WE HAD THSOE TAXES THESE PEOPLE DO NOT PAY AND AVOID THROUGH TAX LAWS THEIR PAID FOR LEGISLATORS USED AS LOBBYIST ON THE FLOORS OR OUR CONGRESS AND STATE CAPITIALS WE WOULD NOT NE IN A DEFICIT HOLE AS BIG AS THE GRAND CANYON. Now that is real tax voidanceby your friendly legislator we elect. I wonder if they are working for the people anymore? GUESS NOT. We just could not offer a high enough bribe.

The point is that this is not actually homegrown. It is being supported by the DNC and the Obama machine with paid union thugs. They probably incited it.
Zaius, the first ones out here were 2,000 students from UW-Madison, grads and undergrads, when the protests started last Monday. You'd think I would be the first to know if I was getting paid anything or if the DNC had anything to do with our organizing. What incited that was the money Walker plans to take away from the university, we didn't need anyone else to get us riled up about that. Then on Tuesday, union members from Madison and neighboring districts came in. I cannot speak to who did their organizing for them, but there were elderly folks, men, women, and children. If the DNC helped unions from other districts charter buses, then you must blame American for Progress as well, because they paid for the Tea Party buses on Saturday, organized through the website standwithwalker.com , also paid for by Americans for Progress.

Can you spell "wishful thinking," children?

Some of your teachers' kids can ... because their parents send them to private schools.

[2004] " Nationwide, public school teachers are almost twice as likely as other parents to choose private schools for their own children, the study by the Thomas B. Fordham Institute found. More than 1 in 5 public school teachers said their children attend private schools.

"In Washington (28 percent), Baltimore (35 percent) and 16 other major cities, the figure is more than 1 in 4. In some cities, nearly half of the children of public school teachers have abandoned public schools.

"In Philadelphia, 44 percent of the teachers put their children in private schools; in Cincinnati, 41 percent; Chicago, 39 percent; Rochester, N.Y., 38 percent. The same trends showed up in the San Francisco-Oakland area, where 34 percent of public school teachers chose private schools for their children; 33 percent in New York City and New Jersey suburbs; and 29 percent in Milwaukee and New Orleans.

"Michael Pons, spokesman for the National Education Association, the 2.7-million-member public school union, declined a request for comment on the study’s findings. The American Federation of Teachers also declined to comment."

Well, considering that we as a profession did educate virtually every capable president and politician of note, I don't think that we did a bad job- well, there was one rich moronic legacy that got passed due to his daddy's connections through Yale (he became a recent president)- Oh well, nobody's perfect. You can lead a horse to water.....
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Don't give the students credit for being ready to learn and wanting to do well. You blame the home life for the ones you "can't teach" and take credit as educators for all the rest. It doesn't work both ways. If you are that good that you have made presidents out of people's kids that can't be reached, maybe you should share your techniques with the other teachers in schools that can't even make a 50% graduation rate.

Inputs: teachers, students, parents, school board, administrators, school board, taxpayers(money). Adjusted for inflation, we spend over twice as much per student now as we did in 1970(when the teachers were just getting unionized). The unions keep on saying all they need is more money, that is what they have gotten over the past 40 years. The outcomes? Test scores the same or a little lower than they were in the 1970's, while graduation rates especially in cities seem to have declined. All the inputs except money are roughly the same. I guess more money isn't the answer.

Concerned-- its in the tax code-- its about the rich avoiding taxes--I did not write the law--the legislators did. Just research the IRS and you can find it. If you look hard enough. This info was in a tax book I once had. cAlso in the tax code.the Works the sme as a mail box in a foreign country used as a location for a corporation--agin no taxes to be paid if located in a foreign tax haven, Panama is an example. Say hello for me to the Fox comedy hours on Fox news ---Hannity, O really and Bech for me. they are funnier than the 3 stooges. they should join up and becoem a 3some. might be funnier as an act on fox comedy Hours.
