Rural Physicians Scholarship program gets new director

Lena native Jennifer Wahnee Sherman has taken the reigns of the program, which was founded to relieve the state's shortage of primary care physicians in rural areas by awarding state-funded scholarships to medical students committed to practicing back in their under-served hometowns.
