Saying the mentally ill can't vote is the same thing as saying democrats can't vote.

I didn't think that was funny. I'm mentally challenged and I don't like being compared with a Dumacrap at all. I may be challenged but, I'm not stupid.

Unless your annual incomes in the seven figures, you've been tricked into voting against yourself.

Not all hillbillies are imbeciles. Andy Griffith, for instance, was a brilliant impresario who made a video supporting Obamacare and an '08 Obama-Biden commercial with his former TV son Ron Howard. Some of his Nawth Carolina neighbors didn't like it; they were the imbeciles.

The legislature needs all the tools they can get to restrict voting in Kansas. Without those tools democrats can get elected. God Bless Brownbackistan!

No one's rights should be stripped by our legislature. If you believe that politicians have the best interest of citizens at heart, you are a na´ve person. Look at the politicians in Washington, DC that continue to muck up our country. Allowed our manufacturing to be taken overseas. Allowed China to purchase into our agricultural base in pork production. You think they have the rights of the average citizen at heart. They talk about public service but do their public service and turn right around and become lobbyists for big business using their time in Washington as reasons for them to get HUGE salaries. In the phone call recently, one of our legislators was asked about labeling for GMO food. One of his constituents said the public should be told if a food has been modified. He didn't seem too concerned. Wonder who contributes to his campaign???

Since you mentioned G.E. I looked for twenty minutes yesterday in our local big box store to find light bulbs that were made in the U.S.. All the new twirly bulbs that we are supposed to use to save energy are made in China. Wonder how that happened? Every single one. GE makes them in China. GE should be boycotted here.

If they like China so well, they should sell all their products there. If they want to live here, they should pay their fair share of taxes like all of us do.

I finally found some Sylvania bulbs made in the USA. All people worried about our economy should stop buying products made in China. Jobs that support our economy have to be here, in the USA. Buy American made products.

I will not buy light bulbs that are labeled made in China. I may have to go to a store other than Walmart, like a local hardware, but I do find made in USA bulbs that I pay a little more for and they last longer than the chinese crap.

Good luck finding anything made in America. Most Americans are not even made in America anymore.

I've never been to Kansas but to the casual outside observer the entire state seems like one giant insane asylum.

Do you really think you are in any position to poke fun at another state for being an insane asylum....Mr. Washington, DC resident?

OMG, not only are Kansans insane, they also make a lot of ass-umptions. I'm not a DC resident, I'm not even a Mr.

I am however, a dick downer.

There wasn't much left to assume as far as your ability to read a map and despite your actual location...well, folks can only see what you have as a location on your avatar. So duh!!! If you want credit for not living in DC I suggest you register and put whatever you want in your local then. Otherwise, you are just going to be a DC moron that makes judgments of others based on what state they live in that you can't even locate on freakin map!

As far as what you are, yeah, I buy the first part!!!

Latest polls have Davis leading Brownback 42% to 40%. Brownback`s actually trying to distance himself from his rabid , hyper conservative legislators that he and the Koch Bros got elected. He`d throw his own henchmen under the bus to get re-elected. Here`s a guy who had White House ambitions for 2016 sweating out re-election in one of the reddest states in the USA. Times are changing and so are demographics. No amount of jerry-mandering of districts and voter suppression is going to save their agenda. It will only delay the inevitable. The joke`s on them , in the end.

"mental illness" category is too general and affects as much as 25 percent of Kansas residents." That seems to explain how we ended up with Brownback and his 'Florida Confederates' in Topeka.

That broad wording is exactly what Kobach wants. He wants to erase the potential for anyone who may oppose Brownback and his Koch cronies to vote.

Because at the end of the day it's still 1 person, 1 vote. And that terrifies them.
