I am greatly depressed this place closed. It was so relaxing and always had good musicians there. Why?!

I was there only once. $12.50 for a drink that I can get for $6.50 down the street. Nice place but........

$12.50 for a drink is cheap when you're spending ransom money you didn't earn eh D.B?

That place went to hell when they banned smoking and let kids in. I was willing to pay for overpriced drinks, but when you couldn't smoke and had to put up with little screaming turd children, it was over.

When is it supposed to reopen?

It needs to reopen as a classy adult bar with smoking, no screaming kids and (again) no having to go outside to smoke. I would gladly pay high prices in order to smoke and not have to put up with children in the place. In other words, it needs to revert to the way it was the middle of the last decade. People with kids don't want to pay for class, they want everything at slop prices. And people with class don't want to put up with kids when they go out.
And they should treat the servers better, and not let managers or owners steal their tips to buy stuff from Rulers. I didn't work there, but many bartenders constantly groused about their tip jar being raided to buy stuff from the Jay C. If the servers were treated better, they would stay, learn what they are doing and actually provide good service instead of churning out gruel for masses of parents and kids.

It wasn't professional for the servers to complain to the customers, but I sure didn't blame them when they suffered as they did.
