What happened to Darin Partney?

I still need your help... graduating class of 84 his uncle was Mayor of Granite back in the mid 60's

Did all the Partney's move out of GC? Someone must know something?

I was buddies with him in junior high school and early high school years. Also friends with Dennis. I think Dennis still lives in the area somewhere. I see him now and then when I'm in town.
I believe Darin (not sure of that spelling...I thought it was Darren, but not sure) took his own life about a half dozen years ago or so.
I believe some type of pharmaceuticals were involved.
I hadn't seen him since the high school days. Shame. He was a cool guy back in the day. We had alot of fun in his basement listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd. I think of him everytime "That Smell" comes on. We listened to it endlessly.

Isn't Dan Partney the son of the former mayor? If not, how related? I used to live by their house down the street from Prather when Partney was mayor.
