Two board members claimed in a lawsuit filed Feb. 25 that AFM founders Wesley "Joe" and Linda Wingo and their sons, Andy and Jonathan Wesley, used the nonprofit to enrich themselves by millions and asked a Georgia judge to protect the ministry's assets.
The parties announced a settlement March 6 but are still working out the details. Lawyers have said Joe Wingo will sign over to Angel Food a company he owns that was renting a corporate jet to the nonprofit at $10,000 a month profit. Also, the Wingos' company credit cards will be canceled, and the nonprofit will undergo a forensic financial audit. The board members who filed suit said they would step down. |

AFM paid out almost 500,000.00 in a law suit and also had to give up charging 10,000.00 per month wingo's charged AFM to use his own jet. Maybe thats why they are laying people off.
