Not all truckers are drunken idiots. My husband has been a driver for 15+ years and he doesn't drink. ANYONE who gets behind the wheel drunk is stupid let alone a vehicle when loaded that can weigh almost 80,000lbs.

Pot holes will get you killed. Bush funneled money to Iraq instead of Alabama to fix out roads!

My family was a few cars behind this truck and saw everything. I pray this guy is never allowed behind the wheel of a big rig again. Thank God he didn't kill anyone.

most of the professional truck drivers are just that, professional, they take their jobs seriously, and drive respondable without alcohol and some don't even smoke, my husband is one of those men and there are women too, they are husbands, wifes, mothers, and fathers.

My best friend had called 911 about 5 miles before exit 8 to report his erratic driving. He has swerved off the road and almost hit a parked car. They had just hung up from the call when my friend watch the truck flip on his side in his rear view mirror. He was close enough that he heard the crunching metal. This whole incident could have been a lot nastier if any other cars would have been involved or if the highway workers wouldn't have seen the truck coming and ran out of the way. I am thankful that no one else was hurt, I hope that the driver of the county truck is ok, and that the driver of the semi rots in jail for a good long while.

Alcoholic's or anyone that partakes of the alcohol-beverages and decides to put an 18 wheeler on our HI-ways .....has the same danger's as a loaded gun. DEATH!

And thank God he wasn't 71 like the other drunk driver or it would have been blamed on his age...

This is another example of how dangerous those trucks are. They kill people every day. Everyone was just lucky this time. Just think how many lives would be saved if they banned big trucks. Just think if one of them ever kills one of your family members. And don't bother giving me that old line that if trucks were banned only criminals would have trucks.

"Madison Police tested Truck Driver Phillip Bryson's alcohol level, citing it as higher than the limit for motor carriers."

This is crazy! There is a minimum blood alcohol level? I would think that should be ZERO!

Hopefully Obama care will pay for this poor alcoholic to seek recovery at Bradford so he can once again be a productive member of our country.

They are dangerous enough to the rest of us without their being drunk.
