What a depressing point to make, even worse is how accurately you have it pegged. Drugs are my anti-sport. |

I first really noticed the "Election Night as Super Bowl" mentality in the 1988 Bush vs. Dukakis "game", I observed a house full of drunken Reaganites cheering with each state that turned red that night. "Fascinating.", as Spock would say. -- Will Dockery & The Shadowville All-Stars Live in Macon, Georgia: http://youtu.be/4WsH4dG-poE |

A most disturbing observation indeed, Mr. Dock. If you could get people to be honest I'm sure the number of voters that learn everything they base their decisions on from political ads would be absolutely staggering. Monday morning political buffs, the internet only makes it worse. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Absolutely... millions of folks pick a "team", red or blue, based entirely on something they saw that told them what they wanted to hear (well almost all of us "want" to hear that the candidate will fix the problems, I reckon) and the deal goes down... |
They do the same thing with sports teams. |

Hey all you fat cat repubs, how about that new healthcare approval,I'm 62 and have health care and so should everybody. Now I know that you worshippers of the wealthy are so brainwashed by your party to not want any help for anyone but the well off, but suck it up and get ready to pay more tax. You ripped us off all these years no PAY UP!Thank God for Obama and down with the republican party like a sinking ship. After all you only make up 35% of registered voters and independents like me kept you out the last time and am gonna do the same this time. I hope neither of these bums make it.

You are excited about riding on the backs of the hard working middle class???? Figures. They'll be paying for your wealth envying bitterness. So, instead of thanking your facist hero Obama, you need to thank the middle class who will be supporting your government dependent self. |

Something I've been meaning to do is see how Romney's Healthcare plan in New England compares to the Obama plan. If Romney is elected I would assume he'll tinker with the Obama plan and make it more like his... since they both seem to agrree that Americans /do/ need some form of Healthcare..? |

Doc, no one is questioning the need for healtcare reform. That's a given. Romney's healthcare plan in MA was designed specifically for the needs of those citizens. Romney has stated over and over that the healthcare plan for MA would not be appropriate for our country, so I don't know how much pertinent knowledge you can glean from comparing, but it might be a starting point. |
Both have been looked at under a microscope and there's very little difference! The "heart" of both plans is the mandate and even there they're virtually identical. Romney has often said that what he did in MA is not good for the US, but he doesn't say how, or why and his parrots echo the same line. For him, it's a "Catch 22" situation. |

Perhaps he'll explain in more detail how he'll fix this situation. I think there is a MAJOR difference between a STATE(MA) and a COUNTRY(US), therefore, Romney stating that the MA plan is not appropriate for the entire US takes him out of the "Catch 22". Calling Romney's supporters parrots brings to mind Obama's bots. They echo his explanation and completely ignore the fact that he knowingly LIED about his mandate being a tax. My, my. What ever is one to do?. |
