What for? As a black mother and grandmother I want my grand kids and kids to know the works of SATAN. Punishment will come from GOD.Iam writing a journal to leave for my grandchildren to know what a sinful place America is. America will be punish for the sins it has done and still doing. Mr. Petree white people will do any and every thing to hurt some one they do not like. They always get it back double.I would never pull my kid out of a shool for something like that.My daughter took black history in college in Monterey ,Ca. she loved it.All her white friends also took the class. We have a short time on this earth why noty enjoy it.Money do not buy you happiness.

"The lawsuit claims the reading has "affected the conditions of learning duties and the advantages of her further education, and seriously affected her mental and emotional well-being, past, present and future."

How did it affected her past mental and emotional well-being?

Basically any future failures will be attributed to this incident. This is another example of the victim mentality.

History is not always "pretty", reason for History? not to repeat

It is time to get over any guilt/victim attitude etc., It is time to see the oportunities!
Let's look at Africa today, WHERE do you think a Black person has more chances to equality, freedom, safety, oportunities
America or Africa?
still in doubt? then look into what is happening in Africa 2010!
To the father of this girl, get over yourself and check into the same, quit making a victim of your daughter, quit pulling the race card if you want equality!

I think somebody needs to tell this Political group that in Europe "teabagging" is actualy a term for a sexual act in which gay men in particular, though straights too, enjoy!!!.......
Second thoughts..........don't spoil the fun the rest of the world is having right now!!

This is a racist comment. MLK made the same mistake when he attributed "white people" to be the source of bigotry.

The black people in this nation can thank the white people for their freedoms, then.. particularly the Quakers and the Amish.

Without the Quaker GODLY tenacity to values and ethics, who knows how far along we'd be in today's civil liberties.

Careful to condemn lest you be condemned also, by the same measure, says Jesus.

In reflection Veteran's Day, black people wouldn't have stood a chance against something like the Nazi regime if they succeeded their agenda - and it was America that put forth Jesse Owens to make a point to Hitler.

I hope you heal from your wounds, Julia.

Consider James Michener's "Chesapeake" as required reading in schools.. along with "To Kill A Mockingbird" -

Oh and remember what Jesus says about reaping what you sow.. that we also reap what we don't sow.

Indeed, God will not be mocked.
