Mich. teen tossed in youth home for not seeing dad
MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. - A 14-year-old boy was held at Michigan youth home overnight and handcuffed for several hours after refusing to follow a judge's order as part of a custody case to visit his father.

A sentence by a judge? How is it that anyone should be forced to do what one does not. What about our individual rights? The reason(s) behind why the teen does not want to see the dad should not matter. The only thing that should matter is that the right to NOT see his dad be his given right.

I thought in the State of Michigan, a 14 year old could make their own decisions when it came to custodial rights and seeing their parents. If the kid doesn't want to see the dad, there must be a reason, maybe the judge should have considered that before throwing the kid in juvee for the night!
