First: The kid that was punched had been expelled from Dakota before for publishing a "Death List" of the Dakota Baseball team. His number one target???? You guessed it, the kid that punched him.

Second: The kid that was punched had been making threats and comments to/about the other kid for pretty much the whole school year over a girl that the punchee wanted to date who still had a thing for the puncher.

Third: The kid who was punched did not have a seizure, did not have a concussion, did not have stitches, did not have internal damage or anything else that BS artists want to put out.

The puncher wasn't right in handling it this way, but as in most everything, there is another side to this story.

Wow thats incredible. A ten year felony for a Lunchroom Fight?

Not long ago A Shelby Township cop, David Essad, pulled a gun on his wife and beat her so badly she required hospitalization. Essad is a Martial Arts Instructor whose hands should be considered a deadly weapon and was Charged by the Oakland County Prosecutors Office with only misdemeanor aggravated domestic violence for the beating and Felonius Assault for pulling his duty weapon. He pled to two misdemeanors in a deferred judgement plea. Oakland County is known for heavy handed justice but Macomb County charged the kid with a ten year felony. Two different standards of justice

One harsh set of standards for youth and a lenient one for drunken cops who should know better.

Essad is appealing his termination from Shelby Twp.
