A couple weeks ago I posted an inquiry on this forum wanting to know if there were any charity or interest groups around Macks Creek that one could get involved in. Not one single reply. I have come to the conclusion that Macks Creek does not even exist. I don't live here, I'm having a dream and just need to wake up.

The stretch of the Little Niangua river near MC could use a Stream Team.

My Grandfather was born in Macks Creek, his name was Garfield Harper. His Dad was Nathan Harper, who fought in the Civil War.

Can you tell me where Mack's Creek is in comparison to Independence, what highway would you take to get there. I am coming in a couple of weeks and would really like to visit there and take some Photographs to put in Family Books.
Thank you

Macks Creek, no longer a City, due to an election to dissolve the city. Is on US Highway 54, 15 miles north of Preston, MO, and 12 miles south of Camdenton, MO. It was a town from 1868 to 2012. In the late 1980's through the early 1990's it was a notorious speed trap, the corrupt Mayor Jerry Hoskins, was not sending the State their share of ticket money, so the State cracked down on them, and passed the Macks Creek Law. No more than 50% of the funding of a city can come from moving violations.
