I continue to pray for the family of Nick. I knew Nick and he was such a nice young man. I hope she is convicted and has the rest of her life to think about this.

Honestly, instead of focusing on why he was on the highway or why she left him there, we should spend our energy and time praying for the families involved.

I feel bad for everyone involved. A lot of questions need to be answered. Why was anyone walking on the highway? Why did the driver not stop? I can see someone being frightened and not stopping. That does not make it right, but I can empathize with the driver. Should the driver receive a life sentence? I am not a lawyer, but I doubt that is even an option. This was not a premediated murder, this was an accident that the driver did not handle properly.

That isnt the point of these forums... They didnt create them for a place to pray... DUUh.... There are other places to go for that.

I do not feel sorry for her at all, she knew she hit a person and left him there to die. How can one human being do that to another. I hit a cat 20 years ago, and I felt awful, took the cat to the vet, how do you just leave a person?? What kind of world do we live in? She will get away with it, and who cares why he was there, was she talking or texting on her phone? Or, just not paying attention?

Its usually people that no longer have a driver license that do this. Or either way they know they will have to spend some time in jail. Im not condoning their actions by all means. I surely could not leave someone to die, I could not live with myself, a lot of these people just bleed to death at the scene. And frankly Im so tired of the deer excuse. I never saw a person resemble a deer

isn't illegal to walk along an interstate unless your vehicle has broken down, i notice there are no sidewalks along those interstates! so does anybody know why he was out there at 5 am walking down the interstate? if he needed a ride then where were all his friends and family? couldn't any of them have cared enough to give this poor guy a ride? was he walking on the side of the interstate or right in the lanes of traffic? to many unanswered questions to make a judgement right now!!!!

really, people who go hunting for deer sometimes end up being shot because the other hunter thought THEY WERE A DEER!

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever.
Amen

To Nick,

Glad I was able to meet you and drive around with you that one time...to simply buy a cherry pie to sell at a food mission.
We had fun, we talked politics. You had a lot of plans for life, and were more smarter in areas than I'll ever be!

Miss you.
