This is just sick. How come when it comes to the animals, the charge seems to be minimal. This man needs to be put in a cage, not checked on for 2 - 3 days, and stand/lay in his own feces and urin. How come it took so long for someone to find these poor dogs??

He needs to go to prison for that. At least thats my opinion. I mean who would do that to a dog let alone any animal. To me that is sick and disturbing. Maybe he needs to be in the age with standing sewage. I am sorry if it sounds like im trying to be mean or harsh but if he couldn't afford to take of the animals anyway why didn't he either give them away or turn them over to lollipop farm or the humane society. I mean 2 dogs died for nothing just because someone didnt want to take care of them. It will be a miracle of all those dogs live or what the humane society might do is euthenize them to end thier suffering. All the suffering those dogs have put up with is because of some JERK didn't want to do the right thing.

The dogs I see in the pics look far better than the hundreds of strays running the streets around town. They also look better than the 852 million starving people in the world. So what.

I hope that the news keeps up on keeping us informed about this case. it will be interesting to see if he get the same/worse sentence as Michael Vick.

It's all relative. The very least he could have done was let them loose to fend for themselves. Or make an anonymous tip to Lollipop that there were dogs running around outside the home. To leave like that and just go watch cable at a new home, now THAT'S a loser.

This is disgusting!! I hope he sits in jail for awhile. I love animals and that is so disturbing so see. I feel so bad for the animals, and if i had the opportunity i would bring a couple home with me

...and where were the neighbors? This is what happens because no one wants to get involved. And...because the law states that if the animal is on personally owned property... well, it is a rather complicated law essentially about-unless there is visual abuse of the animals - after a number of visits by humane authorities, they then can only remove the animals. So, if you see an abused animal, document, date, time, pics, who, what, when, where and keep bugging the humane society in your county about it until something is done! I know this because I know someone who tried to turn in an animal abuser and had the law explained at the time.

He should be treated in the same in-humane treatment he subjected those animals to - put him in a cage with no water/food or ventilation and maybe check on him every 3-4 days - he deserves to be behind bars for what he's done.

Take 10 minutes, call local shelter or even a rescue group. They would jump on that i'm sure and will find very good homes for the dogs.

To do this is really just not right. Living beings and the worst part, when he does ever show up - they probably wag their tails and are happy to see the dirt ball.

I hope they can rehabilitate most of them and find them good homes.
