There's no real reason to. It's always the same ol' same ol'.

The only reason I'm popping in now is because I had to share an AHA! moment.

I've come to the conclusion that the radical conservatives are among those considered as clinically pathological and are only elected to office because they are capable of having a few and limited number of lucid moments where they are only stupid.

Then again, they are a Democrats wet dream and best friend. They ensure that fewer Republicans will be elected to office. Now that's one thing I agree with John McCain on.

I shouldn't be to hard on Mr. McCain. I have to admit, for a Republican, he's at least an honorable man. He just needs to learn to reason past the moment is all.

Something else that has occured to me. Conservatives hate change. Dunno why but they do and if you'll look it up, it's part of the definition for conservative.

Ever wonder if a conservatives wife has a boring life when the lights go out at night? Talk about a lack of variety. "But dear, it's always worked for me doing it this way before and I see know reason to change things now after all these years."

OY!

It's either laugh, cry or climb a water tower with a high powered rifle. Maybe that's why some factions in Congress fight so hard for gun control. Some of us are done crying and have started laughing in a maniacal manner.

If you think John McCain the politician is an honorable man then you have voided all credibility in my opinion. He plays both sides of the fence based solely on what is best for him.

How many other Republicans admitted Obama was an American and not born in Kenya, Zimbabwe, Eastern Mars or Western Venus?

Afaik, he's the only one and that's an honorable thing to do.

It's true he is admitting that what is occuring in the House at this point in time is not good for the Republicans. I agree, it isn't. But for me to remain totally honest, I don't agree with Democrats 100% of the time either thus the Republicans opinion is important to me also and hopefully a balance is had.

Case in point, gun control. Removing guns from the hands of law abiding citizens does absolutely nothing to contain or control the whack jobs that use them to cause harm to innocent citizens.

Regardless of a liberals point of view, guns serve a useful purpose and yes, the purpose is totally from a lethal standpoint in my point of view.

I completely and totally disagree with having an NSA. That one single law has removed far more Freedom for citizens than any other law ever passed and it appears to be fully supported by both sides.

Billons have been earmarked to finish building an NSA headquarters and the majority of the people oppose the NSA.

Evidently both sides support the NSA.

One more. I support the intention behind the ACA, not the entire Bill. What is now law isn't perfect but it's better than having nothing for many and can always be improved upon rather than out right stripped.

Btw, is anyone aware that the Heritage Foundation laid the ground work for the ACA? That's a Republican think tank if anyone isn't aware of who they are.

I will kept it short here
Gun Control Bad
Homeland security Very Bad!
NSA as it has evolved, Very Bad!
As for the shutdown, let me example it this way. Some government is good just like some genes are good for the body however too much of either will make you sick. So the body makes you sick so it can restore the balance. The voters have screwed the pouch for many years, both democrats and republicans have desired more government from both ends and they have received it. Our country is sick and maybe we need to get a little sicker before we get healthy again.

If you support the intention of the ACA then you support government passing a law that will fail with the sole intention of Single Payer System ran and controlled by the Federal Government. No one with the ability to think can believe the ACA can work as written. Also can you provide a link or background about the Heritage Foundation laying the ground work for the ACA please? I would like to read that.

Allow me this. I made a post but dunno if it will post. It was an entirely different thread than this at any rate but I gotta reply to you on this one.

Without knowing me you're assuming I'm a lib. Shame on you because you read what you wanted into my words and ASSUMED.

Firstly, I'm a Viet Nam vet and rest assured I'll shoot your a$$ or that of anyone else proving I support stand your ground if I feel it's necessary. Guns aren't the problem. The problem is there is nothing to control the lunatics that at times get ahold of guns.

I said I support the IDEA of the NSA etc.I did NOT say I supported them in their entirety. At this point in time imho NSA should be torn apart and a new black board brought in. I don't buy into the theory guys with box cutters took down the WTC but lunatics could get into this country. Hell, Mexicans get in all the time.

As for Obamacare and social programs; I've paid for FICA since 1969. I fell 30 feet from a pipe rack in 2006. My knee's, back and left wrist are shot. I'm almost 60. No one no where is going to hire me for anything more than a feel good job. This isn't an assumption on my part since I've been looking since 2006. I can't make a living off of a feel good job.

You might say that I'm not someone you're referring to as a leech. Doesn't matter. Regardless of what you're reading in the tabloids Congress believes a teaspoonful of dirt has more value than I do. At least on the Republicans side anyway.

The only avenues available for people such as myself are these social programs that I personally have paid into since 1969 and people such as yourself have allowed yourselves to be convinced people such as myself are dragging our economy down.

Please. If people such as yourselves honestly and truly believe this, then by all means begin the extermination process. Rest assured there is one Viet Nam vet that is armed and will shoot back. Been there, done that and willing to do it again.

I'm not going away and neither are the people who choose to not view the world through the end of their private little coke bottle.

You want people like me off of social programs? Then help people like me come up with a program that allows us to re-enter the work force in some fashion that isn't a nickle and dime feel good job that still requires us to be on SNAP and medicaid/medicare.

Oh yeah. All of you could stand to lose the coke bottle you look through that forces each of you to only consider how certain circumstances only affect you which allows you to say screw the rest of the world.

A liberal, is anyone that disagrees with a conservative ... Nothing to be ashamed of.. Its just a badge that others will pin on your forehead when they run out of argument..

In my opinion you should be proud to be called a liberal because in reality a liberal is an independent thinker, where a conservative follows the yellow brick road, until he or she falls on their face.. Thats where the magic comes in.. What use to be a conservative, now wants the government to help he or she to stand tall again.... I see it all the time..

Never assumed you were liberal, independent or conservative, itís ill-relevant so no shame on me. You either support Big Government or small government, take your pick.

Thank you for your service in Vietnam; it was a disgrace how the government treated you and even more of a disgrace of how the America people allowed you to be treated. So you donít have to ask, I was born in the late 60ís.

As for the lunatics there always has been and always will be people who for whatever reason, decide to do evil. The question is do you want the freedom and responsibility to defend yourself or do you wish to leave it in the hands of the Government. It sounds as if you support the later.

Government does not see us as liberal, independent or conservative or any other party, they only see us as a VOTE, a vote that will keep them in office. Now there are exceptions to the rule however, the majority of Republicans, Independents and YES democrats do not care about you, They care about Government and keeping their jobs.

Earlier in your post you accused me of making assumptions, yet you have made many of me as well, just calling it like I see it.

So let me ask you this do those Government Programs treat you like a person or a number?
Do those in Government treat you with respect and consideration our do they treat you like you have no other option so they have you by the short hairs?

Do I have all the answers NO, donít even assume too however, what I know is for every dollar that goes to Washington few get to people like you. Have you ever done the math of the monies that are spent to run some of these programs verses what is actually spent to help those in those programs. Sorry, I see government only as a necessary evil that must be kept to a limit. The more Government the less personal responsibility, the more government takes from me the less I have to help you, and then you have to turn to government who then has you by the short hairs.

One last item you mentioned, the extermination process, you do not need to worry about the likes of me of others to whom you seem to disagree with, politically. You will need to keep an eye on government because, once they donít need your vote to keep them in power and if you provide no source of income to them, then you will have no valve to them.

dolander, I cannot stand McCain, however, if only given the choice again of your man Obama and McCain I would again hold my nose and vote for the better of two lesser candidates McCain.

Speaking of shooting ones credibility to hell, you have now with your statement about liberals being independent thinker. Really, would love to see your definition of an independent thinker.

Why even vote at all if you knowingly cant trust who you are voting for?

In my opinion,.. the only thing you are saying here is that you would rather have your daughters and sons raped by a white man instead of a black man...

I dont see any logic in your line of thinking, Mr Logic...

Its a true shame people have resorted to name calling and slamming their opponent instead if having intelligent conversations. Its no wonder Washington is in such a quagmire if the people there treat each other with such disrespect.

Rep. Alan Grayson blasted over anti-Tea Party email showing burning cross.

Typical dolander, you back him into a corner and all he has is platitudes. I mean seriously dolander all I asked was for your definition of an independent thinker and all you can respond with is Ēyellow brick roadĒ, Really thatís your best dolander, it is a little flat if you ask me.

Hereís my definition on an independent thinker dolander; someone who will listen to others opinions however his or her own opinion is solely theirs. While all opinions are in some way influenced by others and outside information the independent thinker using most his or her on judgments in determining their opinion.

Thats not true, Mr Logic.. Your definition on an independent thinker is following the yellow brick road.. Why else would you vote for someone that you dont trust or like?..

And Obama is not my man.. I voted for him once not knowing that he was a crony capitalist and was going to continue the Bush policies..

Obama fooled me once, but he didn't fool me twice like Bush did you... And then you voted for a man that you did not trust or like ..

You are not an independent thinker, Mr Logic.. You are a fool walking down the yellow brick road..
