Sorry. That first link is not working.

VeriChip (Producer of RFID chip that can be inserted into people) has just merged with Steel Vault Corporation (credit/financial reporting) to form Positive ID Corporation (expected to provide security for electronic healthcare records).
I really do think that the biggest reason why so many want the federal govt. to be such a big player in the future of healthcare is because of all this new technology which will give it access to all the information our there on you. There are other things that could be done to help more people get better access to healthcare that didn't involve the federal govt.'s micromanagement. Is there anything the federal govt. eventually will not know about us all? Guess at this rate it will even know how many teeth that we have if it wants to read our health records. I am not surprised at all that Rockefeller was promoting the public option. After all, his family background is financial having a stake in the federal reserve. |

I did read in the first energy/commerce healthcare bill a reference to the use of the RFID chip to be used in connection with healthcare records; I think that the reference was to a "class two device." When I looked it up on the fda web page, it said that "class two devices" (i.e. RFID chip) have been approved.
If/when the federal govt. becomes the sole source of healthcare, guess we'll just have to go along with the chip in order to get healthcare. Just can't wait (?) to get it! |

hopefully Independent's link will work now (had a couple of spaces causing a broken link)

For comparison also to the above writer's interpretation in the WSJ is the real bill:
http://rules.house.gov/bills_details.aspx... Informed citizen, thanks for helping me out by reposting the above. I still haven't read Daschle's book concerning healthcare which I want to do. Even though Daschle was Obama's pick for HHS, he wasn't approved. I saw Obama on YouTube explaining his beliefs. Basically he said that if people want to know what he believes, then look at the people with whom he associates (which is why I keep bringing up the topic of his closest friends being socialists/marxists/communists and extreme radicals (Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Van Jones, Anita Dunn, Frank Marshall Davis). To sell out this country in return for better healthcare (which is needed but could be accomplished in other ways other than the Pelosi/Obama way) is a choice that I think many citizens will come to regret in the not too distant future. |
