Beckley Woman Charged With Sexual Assault

Raleigh County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 41-year-old Deadra Williams of Beckley.

How can somebody do this? Why was this woman not in prison since she was charged years ago? This is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard. Bless that little two year old child.

I would hate for you to be on my jury if I was wrongly accused of a crime. I previously thought the same way you do -that if a person is accused of child molestation he/she did it and they were guilty of the worst crime on earth until one day my five year old stepchild took his pants off and requested me to touch him, and that is when I ran as fast as I could away from the child. Later it was learned that his mother had put him up to it so she could "get a bunch of money from my family". The thought of what a child can be put up to saying and how it can destroy a person is scary as hell to me. I fear small children now because of what their evil money grubbing parents can put them up to. Not saying this lady is guilty or innocent but judge ye not - imagine yourself in a situation where an innocent little child is standing there saying you touched him/her and you know you are innocent but have no way of proving it. Thank God, I had sense enough to remove myself from the situation before the mother accomplished what she was attempting to do but the real monster in that type situation is the sicko adult who wold do something like that to a child (put him/her up to destroying another human beinbg for money)

This is certainly another side. Thankfully you thought quickly and got the heck out of there. I agree with you totally that it would take a monster to put a child in that situation. That is as bad in my book as just about anything that could happen to a child. Children are so smart and that is teaching him horrible things. I do hope you reported this incident to CPS. Sounds like this child needs protected from his own mother.

yes, I did report it twice but the worker told me that this was not really considered abuse. That was the end of it, do you know of any where else I could report this to?

I was so amazed that they did not consider what the adult in this situation was doing to be abuse. Right-scary as hell.

gee, has to be kidding. the courts make cps turn children back into unsafe, unhealthy homes all the time. Most of these abuse cases come from people on some type of government welfare. take the kids, cut off the money. end of story. these abused chldren would be better off in an orphange away from their abusers and the abusive cps system that helps continue the fraud. Take a look at how many private providers of child services there are out there right now. lots of money in this. not for the workers, but for the holders of the contracts. we have higly educated social workers working as glorified baby sitters and chaufers.

You are right on the money CP. These innocent children have got to be protected from their ignorant, self-serving parents who neglect their children. They are moved around from place to place soon as the rent is due they are moved. They are moved in and out of homes of their ignorant parents friends homes. Who knows what is happening. Children hungry, dirty, no discipline, unsupervised and left to their own devices. I they are lucky they may escape being molested. CPS gets a call, goes out and falls for the parents lies and turns those wonderful children back to the rotten parent. Bless these children, they are too young to realize what is happening. And when they are a little older and say, when I grow up I am sure not going to be like my mother, it just breaks your heart. Poor little guy has more sense than the adult.

It's a shame that they turn them back over to unfit parents but with a foster system that is overcrowded and few people adopting older kids they have no choice. Thanks to narrow minded right wingers and evangelical christians, People who do want to adopt children and give them safe homes can not because of marital status or sexual preference.

CPS has a job to do and they do it.

When you say "they" (cps) falls for the parents lines, sometimes that all they have. This isn't communist China, just because someone says someone is abusing kids does not mean CPS can go out and take their child(ren).

CPS falls under the same "Rules of Evidence" as in criminal. CPS must have "evidence" of abuse/neglect. Just as Law Enforcement can't arrest someone because "John Doe" said they stole his truck..

Evidence, evidence, evidence.. without it there will be no case.. Quite frankly, you don't want it any other way.

I know of several cases where CPS workers will come into the homes of young couples and offer to work with them only to want sex in return from the male or female or both. Welcome to the real world!

And that may be true, maybe not? It's not a perfect world unfortunately, and they (cps workers) should be prosecuted. There are bad people in all forms of employment.. it's just the way it is.
