Federal Welfare Spending to Skyrocket 80 Percent in Next Decade.

Welfare spending has increased on a year-over-year basis regardless of whether the economy has improved or unemployment has declined, and is projected to continue this dramatic rise indefinitely.

Fitch may downgrade U.S. credit rating.

Again.

Fitch already has a negative outlook on the U.S. as the country's debt burden has risen to around 100% of its gross domestic product and has said it will make a decision on the rating this year, regardless of how the debt ceiling discussions pan out.

Obama once said:

We now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our government's reckless fiscal policies.

I question; what is the purpose of raising the debt ceiling as Obama wants?

I answer; the point of raising the debt ceiling is to allow to us to continue to borrow, 40 cents on every dollar, that's what it's about.

I state; our government needs to show some guts, make some tough decisions, and start reducing that 40% borrowing percentage.

So sad...
You are wrong again. The Republicans have constantly tried to restrain the wild spending by the obama crowd in order to reduce the massive national debt. Gov. Romney's main platform was to reduce unemployment and create new jobs. One of the methods he could do this was by reducing the massive regulations imposed upon the American businesses. Gov. Romney also said he would defeat the massive obamacare program which is to expensive. Were you asleep during the campaign or just wearing obama blinders? You have talked in generalities like obama, and not listed one specific thing obama has proposed to help America. obama won't even propose a budget. Bless your little heart.

No dear, trying to balance a check book is very good. But you can't NOT pay the bills you've already incurred. Can we agree here?

Logic will show it is difficult to pay bills when obama has added $6.4 trillion of debt during his 4 years occupying the WH without offering a budget to pay off any portion of the debt. Until he shows us his budget with how he plans to pay off the debt, and have the balanced budget he promised, Congress should not pay any bills for his socialist agenda. obama with his executive orders and excessive spending has become an expensive dictator we can't afford.

Any reasonable and intelligent person would be outraged at the fact that this is the first president in our history that has failed to even pass a budget, and has added 6 trillion in debt in just four years. That is unpatriotic! Of course, history shows us when we have a republican president and the democrats have control of congress, they just give the republican president whatever the hell he wants. Just because a coward like yourself points your bully finger at others who disagree with you and makes childish accusations and tells lies, does not mean it makes it so. The idea that a country of 310+ million people should all fall lock step into the the same, bankrupt mindset that is liberalism is outrageous, and reflects on your intolerance.
That's because you white folk can't handle the fact that he is the first BLACK president in history and the redneck won't work with him. That's more like the truth of the matter and you KNOW it! Arguably the biggest lie coming from the Republicans and the Romney campaign is that President Obama is a tax and spend liberal who's directly and personally responsible for record deficits and a crushing national debt.

Not only did Mitt Romney tell his supporters that President Obama continues to spend out of control, but additionally that the president is responsible for doubling the budget deficit since he took office. This is not a new attack. Republicans who blindly greenlit trillions in Bush-era spending have been engaged in this nonsense practically since the minute the president was inaugurated.

I like to do this from time to time, so consider this a one-stop source for debunking what the Republicans are claiming about the Obama administration's fiscal record. Before I do, however, I'd like to note that Republicans often confuse the national debt with the federal budget deficit, not unlike the way they scramble the stimulus and the bailouts.(The "stimulus," passed by President Obama, is the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and the "bailout," passed by President Bush, is also known as TARP.) They're not interchangeable terms.

For example, Karl Rove's new and highly deceptive anti-Obama commercial somehow conflates the national debt and unemployment, calling it "job-killing debt," even though job-creation and the national debt are about as interdependent as Rove and The Truth. We can assume that Rove simply doesn't know what the debt actually is, or that he's deliberately lying to voters.

To be clear: the federal budget deficit is the annual difference between what the government spends and what it collects in revenue. It's often similar, higher or lower, than the previous fiscal year's deficit. The debt is the total amount of money the United States owes to creditors, and this much larger figure accrues from year to year. A lot of people don't know the difference, and I've even heard very serious cable news people mix them up, too.

So let's start from the beginning -- prior to 2009 when the president was inaugurated. While it's true that, in a general sense, the deficit and debt are higher than ever before, it has less to do with President Obama, and more to do with the previous administration's careless spending, ridiculously large tax cuts for the super-rich coupled with the globally massive economic depression from which we're still extricating ourselves.

Not only are you a hate-filled anti-White "rayciss" but you are ridiculously naive to the point of being laughable. You're actually naive enough to believe there is a BIG difference between repubicans & demoncraps, and Obongo & ZioRom. bwah hahahahaha. They should have called them Obamney in that there isn't a dime bit of difference between them but a race obsessed "useful idiot" like you would you see skin color and like your racial kinsmen you only vote based on skin color or some third world myopic greed of what the gubmint can give me. No wonder the democraps can count on the Black vote everytime, damn you're so damn easily led. Of course unfortunately a lot Whites have been whigged out and are just as gullible. Repubicans & demoncraps are two wings of the same vulture and maybe if you would pull your race obsessed head out the sand long enough you would learn that, until then you're nothing more than a mindless little drone who parrots the same old tired and worn out lines over and over and over again. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Pay little Eric no mind. He's been in a childish tizzy since Obama was initially elected. As for buck private Bobbie Lee, he'll bombard you with endless questions and demands of "proof" of everything you post, and then simply deny the irrefutable truth of your answer and proof...no matter how irrefutable the answer or proof.

...two clowns from the same circus.

Others here do not appear to see it that way. So tell us, just what is the number one priority for Obama's second term? That is a fair question, deserving of a response.
