This is the worst thing that can happen to a homeowner Good thing I'm very choosy that's why it took me so long to decide on which roofing company in New Jersey to contact for our remodeling project.

I am so grateful to the men who did my roof, and feel so sorry for the homeowners whose money was stolen. I am really sad and upset for them.

Thank you to the roofing company who replaced our roof and finished the job. I don't know what we would have done if that would have happened to my family and I. We struggle so bad as it is. We do without so much, and if we had lost this kind of money, including the deductible, there is no way it could have ever been replaced. No way at all.

What in the world is wrong with these people to have done such a terrible thing to so many people? I don't understand.

What's wrong is greed. They took that money and high tailed it out of Douglasville. I'd like to know where they stashed that money, because they sure didn't use it to pay their employees or pay for the homes they were living in.

Yeah, where did all that money go? I believe it is stashed somewhere too. Greedy people.

Yeah, I hadn't heard either, didn't think I would. Give it time, let the media die down, some deal'll be made that we'll never hear about. They'll just hope it goes away.

Does anyone have an update on the attorney who filed a lawsuit over posts on Topix, and subpoenaed the IP's? I wanted to follow the case. I can't find the thread.

What topic were the lawsuits directed at?

He was upset over comments made regarding recommendations for an Attorney in Douglasville. Topix posted the screen names of the parties involved, and stated they had 10 days to squash the subpoena request. I wanted to know if he had a good argument, how it went, and if he was actually following through on the civil suit. I see how bad our Judges, DA's, and Elected Officials are being ripped apart, and wondered how he could get IP's and action, but they can't or won't at this time.

Who was upset over recommendations for an attorney in Douglasville? I can't say that I have ever seen a thread about that on here, since I have been posting.

I would think that a good defense attorney would pull just a few random posts from this site and discredit the entire forum as a source for recommendations for professional services. Everything posted here is personal opinion and speculation with no requirements to provide proof or fact. In other words, most of whats posted here is near barnyard malookie and this attorney shouldn't be so thin skinned.

the only thing that worries me is when i go and get a customer out here in d'ville anytime in the future, the case is made by these aholes for making all of us contractors thieves. I ask for a deposit up front as well but it is for materials. I even tell my customer the p.o. number in case they want to pay for them upfront from depot or lowes. then the balance is due immediately upon completion. let me tell you i have my share though of deadbeat customers that won;t pay either, so it goes both ways folks. i have had thousands of dollars tied up in labor and some of it in materials and been screwed by shady customers as well. but i do say hang these aholes up by their private parts. you watch they will be back under another name in six months. the crooks always are, us honest contractors keep our names for years.
