dont go,if your waisting your money, the varsity football player need your surport also, but if your money is being wasted then dont go.they are a young tm,you have 7-8 soph.starting they are young, and they are the first to come out of that lytle youth football org.they went 11-0,and won the whole thing then,it has to start somewhere.

Is not about wasting your money is about watching the LOCAL kids participate. You have a bunch of young players on Lytle n this Friday somerset team that included the freshmen class (now seniors) that lost to Lytle 40+ against Lytle. You must be a first time LYP parent, I give you a couple years before you start complaining or get frustrated with favoritism. Most LYP Coaches played their relatives more or won't ratate them even when they can't play. I don't see a problem if they are good; our litle all star league baseball coach played his son every out of every inning of every game eventhough he stroke out every time and rotated MORE capable players.

I agree with you but you gotta put but youself in their shoes... They are paid to manage a school budget (based on taxes n LYP charge players to play on a dif budget) not a local youth programs. If u read Leader News article posted on Thursday, August 26, 2010, titled "Booster Club changes forthcoming" the school board is trying (under their attourneys advice) to separate
themselves from the local buster club
because they are afraid of law suits because they don't trust LYP criminal background on volunteers; however, last year they claimed operational cost n they were charging (I believe) around $1500.

smith is responsible no one else, u have to sum.a form that their provide. the form is basic, now as for the fee that she charges ,now i say she charge because the first two years there was not fee or even a form. one would ask the AD(byan)back then, and he would take care of everything. LYP when i first moved here(10yrs ago) had very little help, now they have alot, good for them.so the next question should be what type of help!i say if one does not like it then step up, fight the fight its worth it, it is for the kids, but at the same time ask your self this, what is the point if lyp and lytle youth football help improve these kids if as soon as they hit jr.high and high school coachs turn it to ss-itttt.at one pt when was the last time a coach got fired!people need to live but why should the kids have to pay with hard wk if they are not lead in the right direction.ask a varsity football play why he plays ball, does he play for the coachs or the love of the game,at one pt it should be for both.

Lyp is not involed with the booster club. That is Jolly Roger, and the tackle football is LYFA. The tackle football registration usually starts beginning of the school year, look for flyers sent home in folders.
