set this whole issue off theres storys all over
the place about it. i guess in the end they both got what they deserved even though no one deserves to be shot thats just wrong and awful. i guess it goes to show you never know what can happen.

Think of the family reading this crap. If this was a member of your family would you want to see this crap posted here. Pray for Jamie and his family and stop the trash talk. Let the law handle things instead of idiots out of control with guns.

Keep it to the facts only. You can go from a small person hinding behind a computer to a large name in your local town newspaper if you are being sued for slander. Newspapers love to post slander cases. Everything you own could become the property of another if a judge deems so. Simply put, if you lie and slander and attempt to ruin another person's reputation on here, you better have very very deep pockets and a strong desire to have your name brought to light.

Some people have no clue about any truth behind the story. Mr. Duvelow and his friends the Cobbs are druggies and both have been in trouble with the law in the past. Mr. Meszaros has ‘no trespassing’ and ‘private property’ signs placed around his property and yet Jamie Duvelow still trespassed onto Mr. Meszaros’ property.
so anyone can put up no trespassing signs and then have the right to shot people. don't thin k so.

this whole story is sad. I lived next door to Mr. Maszaras for years and never had a bit of problems with him. I agree he didn't have the right to shoot someone, but if you know Louis you know he really isn't all there and should never have been left to live alone in the first place.

I do know somewhat of why Mr. Meszarous is not all there. Quite a few years ago, somehow he killed his father with a tractor in an accident. We were talking about it today and somehow, the tractor landed on the father and pinned him. His name was also Louis I believe and I was told by a family friend that he was never the same after that. I know his mother had moved away and I don't know how long he has been living alone, but he does call the police all the time about neighbors and such. Also neighbors call the police on him. He maybe will be examined and found that he cannot live alone or among society. But no one actually knows how many times that day he called for police, except the 911 dispatchers, and the police. So I hope they all can figure out if they could have done something to prevent such anger and outburst by both men. It's very sad and justice will be done, i'm sure. I just pray the man shot does not die, so that maybe this will change his life and he will see that there are miracles from God. Maybe he will become a better person and a better father. And maybe Louis will get some well deserved care to determine if he is actually a danger to himself or others. I hope something good comes from this whole situation. Until then they all need prayers, especially the families of both men.

I agree with you "Get the Truth" I also hope both men come out of this okay. I agree Louis should be punished for what he did, but I also hope he gets the help he needs. And as for the other man, well I don't know him only what I've been reading but even that doesn't mean he deserved to be shot. Both families are in my prayers as well.

well the way i see it. is if someone was coming onto my property threating me....with a criminal record, i think i might shoot the person in the knee & call the police myself. I hope jamie lives, and yes the gentleman should be punished but with consideration of the entire situation. Maybe people will think before they come onto someones home and land in a threating manner???
all too sad

First, to "get the truth" Daddy Luey as I grew up calling him, that would be Luey's father Louis was not killed by Luey with a tractor. He died of natural causes in te 90's, I know he was my adopted second dad..... so please dont repeat things you hear unless you know for sure why Luey is withdrawn from society. This family has had way too many tragedys in thier family to last anyone a life time and false statements will make it for them even worse... thank you
Second, my prayers go out to Jamie and his family. but they also go out to Luey's family, as in this tragedy, there are two family's suffering equally, but in different ways.. I have sat here and read all the many opinions and comments, some with real facts and others not. And find so many feelings on this tragic event. I personally grew up for many years with Luey's family 5 days a week, as his mother was our sitter. I personally love and consider them all my second family and they feel the same. We all will have our personal opinions on this, wheather its due to personally knowing one or both of the individuals, or just in general. I, in no way feel that Luey taking the law into his own hands was right, and the unfortunate truth is, none of us know what actually made Luey finally snap. I feel so deeply for the victim and has family, who are now suffering due to Lueys choice. I cant imagine what they are going through, and the fear and pain they are suffering. As I read previous comments there are a few that stand out. One Luey was/is very much a loner. He speaks little to others (unless he really knows you well), lives alone and is with drawn. Yes, many say different, but all I remember of Luey is, he was/is a very sweet man inside, a gentle soul.Com menting on several responses to a previous post on here, Luey did in the years I was in his home, have his own room in the basement, and choose to recieve his dinner at the basement door, and eat alone down there(so that previous comment was partiall truth). Do not judge others comments, unless you were actually there most every day to witness a mans choice. Also, so what if his mother was/is a christian (religious asone put). Being a christian in no way makes your children emotionally or mentally unstable, and at least she has God to lean on during this time for stregnth and peace within for herself. I guess I feel that even though Luey apparently cried wolf more than not, to the local police, that no matter how many calls they recieve from an individual, they should always check out each and every call as you never know when its the ONE call they should have taken. I realize this may cause a waste of our local tax dollars, but just like this case, had they done this, this tragedy may not have taken place. No one can take the hands of time back, and many now are/will continue to pay the price. The law will handle this case as they have handled all past cases. And many of us will not argree with the outcome. I just hope that the famlys on both sides can hold in there and have peace and wisdom to know what to do next, and know that many are praying for you... God bless you all....

It is still my opinion that we have cops that are not taking their duties seriously enough and overlook certain behavior issues, for example, ATVs, and look the other way. maybe if we had a legal system that really followed the law maybe incidents such as these would not get out of hand.

Ok my statement of his father dieing as a result of an accident may not be true. I believe as I went to school with the family and talked to a church member that goes to church with several others in Louis family, that there was an accident with a tractor and Both Louis' were involved in it. Maybe it was in his younger years, I can't remember myself. And as far as stating that his mother is religious, by no means says that he should not have done what he has done. God is the only one that intervenes in our lifes and I also believe that The lord has helped this family through many hard times and difficult times. Without God things could have been much harder on this family. That's all I'm going to say about that. But I do believe if responded to earlier, things may have been resolved without such tragedy and anger. I'm sure Louis is remorseful, but rage is something very hard to control, that is why we need police to take every situation as serious and follow through even if it turns out to be someone crying wolf.

OK..word has it as this..supposingly the Duvelow boy was riding his atv up and down the road and on Maszaro's land. Mazaro repeatingly told Duvelow to knock it off. Duvelow continued and Maszaro phone the cops. After sometime had passed, no cop showed so Maszaro called them again and the cops said that they will dispatch again. Again a no show like over an hour into it from the first phone call made, Maszaro called the cops again and asked where they were, again no sign of them he apparently said for them(cops)not to worry, he just shot Duvelow. 19 pieces of buckshot in the gut should have got some attention. This is all so said so make your own assumptions.

in my neighborhood and village there are many people that smoke dope, drink & party with loud music. In their backyards , homes,& bars. Some are poor low-lifes,and some are wealthy business people.Who ever they are what ever their background they do not deserve to be shot.God forbid if someone doesn't like it and decides to blow them ""all"" away.. Give Jamie a break no matter what he did he did not deserve what he got ..My Prayers go out to him and his family..

this is a very sad situation....i hope jamie doesn't die...for the sake of his children...but if he pulls through this i don't think he will change. i don't kno him too well, but i kno of him and have heard the things he does. people like that with that life style won't change that easily because of a confrontation that almost killed him. i do hope that it will make him take a closer look at his life and change, but miracles don't happen over night. as for the man that shot him...no one has the right to shoot some one for trespassing. that's why there is such a thing as police...although sometimes they can't always fix a situation, or respond fast enough. if in fact he has some mental issues, i hope he gets the help he needs.

You said it yourself you don't know him that well you have just heard about him. So please dont jump to the conclusion that he won't change.
